Saw Kasabian at O2 Kentish town, was expecting it to be a good gig, but it was really good.
similar situation for me and Mono Inc at Manchester Revolution. I thought they'd be good, but I absolutely loved the gig. Possibly the smallest venue I've ever attended which was both good and bad (good due to great atmosphere, bad because the sound quality could have been better)

I also saw a group called Stone Broken at a music festival (midland band as I understand it) who were great

Tom Meighan (ex Kasabian) at the O2 institute Birmingham was really good the other day, venue was quite small made it even better.
