We live in intolerant times. Believe it or not people are allowed their own opinions, though it seems to be increasingly difficult to have one that goes against that of the hysterical and nasty mindset that believes only it is entitled to have their say and are always correct. The ability to listen to, understand, and respond to an opposing opinion in a grown up way is a cornerstone of civilisation, and now instead we get 'is XXXX really that idiotic', Twitter pile-ons, cancel culture. I hope the people involved in this enjoy the world they will be living in, because sooner or later the mob comes for everyone.

To be fair a bbc article representing their version of his opinion is not really going to give anyone an accurate representation. I’d always heard reports he is a tit, but I listened to a podcast where he explained his thoughts and he articulated them in a totally different way to these articles and actually seemed a pretty reasonable fellow.
Always better to hear it from the horses mouth instead of forming an opinion from a headline.
