Finally got round to sorting out the thousand or so records I still had from back in the day. Two things came out of this exercise, first being that I realised how much I enjoyed playing tunes so I'm going to try and put a bit of time into it again. Second being that I have a pile of about 300 or so I need to get rid of somehow. Some questions...

First, are there any boxes out there which are compatible with the ubiquitous IKEA KALLAX cube storage units and are also sturdy enough to be used to hold a good number of records in each? I had some of the LEKMAN plastic ones but they're a bit flimsy and I don't see anything better on IKEAs website.

Second, I also have Native Instruments Traktor Pro 2 on my laptop with the basic Kontrol Z1 mixer. My current mixer for the turntables is a very nice but now old Pioneer DJM-400. If I want to be able to play vinyl and digital tracks alongside one another then what's the best way forward - a new mixer which can work in conjunction with Traktor? If so, which one?

Last, getting rid of the old vinyl... I'm really not sure I have the time or energy to sit and catalog it all on Discogs or eBay to sell off, are there any places that buy job lots? Some other way of getting shot of it all?

12" LPs are fairly snug in the Kallax so I doubt there is room for a "removable" type box you mention.

I screwed together a Kallax effort a couple of months ago to replace my trusty old deck table as part of a room refresh. Some people online had drilled a hole in the back to put a pole through to act as a stop, but I didn't bother. Don't see any need to put another receptacle in the hole.

Dunno about Traktor, but I replaced my 20 something year old DJM-600 with a new Pioneer that came with a Serato Pro licence which has been good fun.

Mostly early to mid 2000's deep house, tech house and a little techno. I'll maybe have a look over Discogs.com but I'd be astonished if any of them were worth any more than a couple of quid each. I guess that's still a few hundred if I can find the time to list them all, post them etc.

Thanks, that's sort of what I thought but wondered if anyone knew of anything that does fit.

Thanks. What model is your new Pioneer mixer?
