Anyone got a deposit on the new 812 replacement - and a potential launch date?

Best guess at present is as follows:-

Public launch Q1 2024.Reasonably limited production.You will probably need to own a V12 to get an allocation (there are always exceptions to any rule like this).Almost certain to be a normally aspirated V12 based on Competizione unit.Big question is will it have any electric assistance ?
Will probably be a pretty significant price hike over 812.
Deposits at this stage mean nothing.

The, by now, semi mythical F167.
Day355 over on Fchat seems to be the bloke in the know. Reckons they have put the 812 back on a diet, dumped the pounds, lopped a cpl of cms or so out of the wheelbase and made it pretty again.
Everybody will scream "last V12!" (again) and do the usual mad scramble next yr. I was talking myself up to do it then realised it was insanity. It might well start with a 4 on the price tag once you got the "necessary" options on and delivery 2025.

As a long time Fchat subscriber myself, Day355 and his supporters often role out his highlights reel of what he’s called correctly. He been wrong before and is almost psychic vague with his factory insider knowledge. Time will tell if Ferrari is happy to produce a retro car with less 175 Bhp less than its Lambo competitor. Don’t know where they are going to build it mind as the V12 production restricted (812GTS, Comp, Icona, Purosangue……) factory expansion is for electric development only. Hope they do keep it n/a and unassisted but I’ll not be trading in my 812 and £200k plus for the new one.

Dealers aren't taking deposits yet either, or at least mine won't take my money until they've got further details.

It'll be a great Ferrari however way too rich for my blood at well over £400k spec'd.

I think many of us, in the real world, are aligned on it being (probably) a £400k motor and feel it’s just simply too much. It’s not worth the huge uplift over the previous F12 and 812.

Can’t see it being less than a PS. So specced with the right options it’s going to be in with a good chance of being closer to £500k! Great news for a F12 and 812 owners as it will just harden their residuals.

A 296 GTS with some spec on it will be £350k. I have 0 doubt this thing is going to be north of £400k. Probably starts £360-370k. With spec, low £400s.

From memory base price of 812 was about £260k so a big leap.Must just be old age but I cannot believe the latest V12 Vantage was £300k.
I know it is limited but even so.All sold as will be F167.

Er…Aston are very much struggling to sell the £300k V12 Vantage. About 10 of them available at dealerships. I happened to be looking at Vantages yesterday and was somewhat surprised to see so many available.

If you believe what Aston say those are all cars that were sold new and are now being offered back to the market by the original purchasers.
I can't believe residuals will be very strong but I am normally wrong !
Point I was making was if a V12 Vantage is now £300k why wouldn't Ferrari charge £400k for what will be a much much better car.
I have not driven the latest V12 Vantage but from past experience of both manufacturers I would wager a considerable sum that my 812 is a far superior driving tool.

I'm not a long term F chatter but day355 does seem to have a following over there. That much said, not sure I agree with the assessment that he is psychic vague, he's put his neck out a bit and stated definitively that it won't be hybrid.

No deposit down for me yet and likelihood of me being able to get an allocation probably highly unlikely given I've only got a Roma to my name but will give it a try. Hoping it looks more F12 than 812 though personally.

Amazing how expensive these cars are getting and if you then combine that with “not being able to get an allocation” for what is a standard car, then even more so.

I well remember wandering into HR Owen Brompton Road many years ago.
I was not a customer ,they did not know me and I'm not even sure I was a Ferrari owner at the time.
After a brief chat the salesman asked me if I would like to buy their latest model as they were struggling to shift them.
It was called a 599 GTO !!
(stupidly,I declined)

I remember Wilmslow struggling to sell a 599 Alonso and offering it me for a deal. Car is now up at 300k. This was 2011 I think.

A K-egg was 300k, pagani not much different. I bought an 18 month old LP550 manual for 118k.

Recession took so much credit out the market I think that was the result

I have little doubt you will be able to get hold of an F167. If they are available at £20 or £30k over list then it’s really not important if the price is starting with a 4.

Ah, not really keen on one someone else has specced, want to spec it myself at the factory.

Ferrari F8 was £204k+options, 296 is £241k+ options (unless it's been increased?), so an 18% increase. Apply the same to the 812 and you get to a base price of £308k+options. Purosangue is £312k however, which is 28% above a GTC4 with V12 (bigger car though and arguably more tech and kit). Applying 28% to 261k would give you £334k+options.

Based on the above you're probably looking at £320k+options? So min spec being £370k new?

Feels about right.I never go crazy with options and my cars have always come out at quite a bit less than the early headline grabbing numbers bandied about when a car is first talked about.
Having said that Ferrari is now charging extra for things like tdf blue paint which used to be a "free" choice in the past.
