I have an old 50" Pioneer plasma screen, 720p variant, is there still a market for these or has OLED just made them all obsolete?

Alternatively does anyone know of a good TV Trade in deal, where this screen could be more valuable, if i were to buy new.

Previously, I have seen AO and Currys offer trade-in deals for TV's, but these seem to be occasionally rather than an ongoing thing. Curry's last promo seemed to be offering 'up to' about £450 off a new TV, but I assume there will be various terms and conditions associated with that and how much you spend on the new one.

I can't seem to see any trade in deals at the moment.

If you just wanted rid of the TV without a deal, a quick look on eBay and Facebook marketplace suggests it is worth about £30-40, but will be for sale in a sea of other £30-40 plasma and LCD TV's. I would stick it on Facebook marketplace as £30 collection only and see if anyone wants to come to your house for it, which will at least save you a drive to the local tip.

Difficult to see much value in an ‘HD Ready’ 720p screen. I’d agree that somewhere like FaceBook Marketplace will be the best bet

I have one that is currently on the floor of my garage and will be going to the tip on my next trip - probably this weekend!

Seems like it worth about £100 with a trade in at RicherSounds. Or about the same at Samsung.
So it seems that i'll be using the trade in options there.

Thanks for the help.

I’ve a charity coming to take my Panasonic plasma away on Friday,
but they did say that once the driver has seen it, it will be up to his discretion whether they accept it or not.
