Grabbed 2007 'Roadhouse' MIM strat from eBay, £300 delivered. This thing plays far nicer than any of the new American standards I was playing in shops, and looks great. Very pleased.

Nice smile I picked up an early 2000s MIM lonestar from Gumtree and, like you, I prefer it to some of the MIA I've played recently (and it's got a much nicer neck tint!)

That’s really lovely, and that’s coming from someone who has zero interest in Teles.

I’d buy that. Gorgeous.
shout Dan, you've already got too many guitars

Not any more, sold the Mustang and Snakebyte last week so that's freed up space on the rack now... biggrin

Probably not the right place to ask, but what is the thing that looks like a coiled cable on the lower horn on this Explorer?

Thanks in advance

"Custom wiring conduit", to cover the cabling to the pickup selector switch, this is usually hidden under a scratch plate, now it's in a bit of flexible conduit. Horrible.

The board hasn't been built yet - its all loose but it all got a bit out of hand, and then I was committed so thought f**k it in for a penny in for a pound!

They won't all fit so - will have to make some choices but as it stands!

Klon
Analogman KOT
Analogman Sunbender
GMD Lutherdrive (may not make it on the board)
Sonic Research turbo tuner
Area51 McCoy Wah
Lehle Volume
Boss CE1
Analogman Mini Bi Comp
Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe (original)
EHX Memory man (70s blue one)
ISP Decimator
Probably will get another delay to do the slap back thing (MXR Carbon Copy??) and keep the EHX for self oscillating stuff

And a straight up fuzz... not sure what I'll get, fancy an old Fuzz Face with NTK275 transistors in - Not sure I can stomach putting that much into one pedal though!

Should be fun when all is done!!

Some great pedals there.

I’ve never got a decent slapback from my Carbon Copy, maybe the bright version is better.

Nice line up! Is it a Centuar or KTR?

I really like the AD9 for Slapback - less features than the CC but a good solid delay.

Fuzz Wise, the new EHX Op amp muff sounds great - as does the Russian reissues.

Anyone got/spent much time with an Epi Sheraton?

I stuck my Kramer 211 Superstrat thing on the local musical instruments for sale FB page, and had someone offer me a Sheraton as a trade.

It's the sort of thing I'm looking for, was playing a Hagstrom last week, and decided I fancy some sort of semi.

On paper, it's worth more than my guitar, even with it's upgraded pup, so seems like a good deal, and I plan on catching up with the guy so we can both have a quick 'test drive', but wondered if anyone had any thoughts?

Also, picked up a Fender Mustang Floor, in brand new condition, carry case, cables, original box etc. for £100 the other night. Will do for messing about in the spare room, but was happy with how cheap I managed to pick it up!

Got divorced earlier this year and moved into a flat on my own so bought myself this little lot for Christmas to keep myself occupied in the evenings.

Epiphone ES-339 Pro plus Zoom G3Xn multi effects pedal (mainly for the loop function)

Also have an acoustic, LAG four seasons 'Spring' if I remember correctly, thought I had a picture but I don't appear to have one to hand.

I bought the acoustic for my 21st, ten years ago and learned a little bit but I'm still not very good at all, the Epiphone has an easier action so it's a bit nicer to learn on.

I'm getting there, the basics have come back to me but it's still slow progress!

This was an impulse buy on eBay over the holidays. It's an Aria STG-003 and was bought chiefly for the colour as I've never had a Burgundy Mist Strat before. In the flesh it's slightly lighter than BM, although not light enough IMO to be the pink it was described as.

The body will be to replace the body off this Surf Green one, which has just been sold.

What other bits will be involved, I will only find out when I've had a chance to dive into the collection of necks, scratchplates, pickups and other bits I have far too many of lying around.

I'm not surprised, what an amazing bit of wood!

There should be more blue guitars IMO.

A blue Les Paul Deluxe, what's not to like!

I don't have a blue one since i sold my Sonic Blue MIJ 62 reissue Strat, but I do have a Fenix Strat body I've had resprayed blue, just waiting till I get the chance to sort all my bits out, then I'll know what's going on it. It's going to be my Brian May Strat - in other words, pickups wired in series.
