Gorgeous PRS ^^^
Always wanted a JEM 77FP and by chance this just popped up on my feed.
It’s a Mint 15th Anniversary. They are hard to find in this condition.
Ad details as follows -
Guitars History
This was a collectors guitar. Its history is very simple. It was bought new and has been kept in the case ever since. You will not find a better example of this guitar anywhere else. The previous collector may have strummed this guitar and lightly played it but there are almost no signs of visible playing anywhere on this guitar.
Guitar Condition
Fit and Finish
PERFECT!
?Fret Life/Fretboard
Fretboard is unplayed. No signs of playing, the frets are professionally rounded and gleaming
Tremolo
Still with a fantastic mirror finish, No blemishing and no pitting on the tremolo unit. Its as new
Neck
Original Neck Straight as an arrow
Electronics
As you would expect in a mint instrument there are no issues with electronics. Sounds like a dream and the pickups scream!!
Body work
No dings, No scratches, No dents or bruising in the acrylic or on the body/neck or notorious neck pocket.
Case
This guitar comes with the original hard Case. Case is in great condition with only a no real obvious signs of ware from storage.
She arrives next week :-)
Stunning. My favourite of all the JEM designs - manages to be both subtle and extrovert at the same time. I am very envious indeed! Always wanted a JEM 77FP and by chance this just popped up on my feed.

I personally find such things utterly horrible - but that's good because if we didn't all have different tastes, we'd end up fighting over the same guitars. Which would of course be most unseemly.
It's certainly a guitar that makes a statement and man, you had better back it up. When a guitarist shows up and pulls a Les Paul out of their case, there isn't much expectation beyond variations of muddy tone and tired blues/rock playing. Show up with a Jem and you better have chops worthy of the guitar!6th Gear said:

Stunning. Definitely not for the timid or unimaginative. Always wanted a JEM 77FP and by chance this just popped up on my feed.

Here's my Yamaha Attitude LTD II. Shall we start a Steve Vai cover band?

I mean each to their own, but did you really mean to use the word subtle??
Yeah, I did. Sure, it's a flamboyant statement piece, but compared to the other GEM Universe models, which are solid blocks of fluorescent neon magenta, green and cyan with the pickups in contrasting hues and big 'disappearing pyramid' block inlays, the traditional Japanese floral print against sombre black is both refined and subtle. Of course when the guitar was new it conveyed an image of class, the pre Edo period room divider in a Yakuza's office perhaps. Of course nowadays the Japanese artwork vibe is played out, covering the arms and legs of Darren from Clevedon who has never held a passport let alone gone on a foreign holiday. But I digress... vsonix said:

The Fender Stratocaster will have a serial number on the back of the headstock, throw it in here and it will tell you what it is:

Thanks,it's a standard strat made in Mexico.https://www.fender.com/product-registration/serial...
This photo was taken on the day I received this guitar and it's been my pride and joy for 14 years. American vintage '57 reissue strat. Was told very little about it on purchase and have tried to find out more. There is no neck serial number, as the neck was replaced with a non-fender neck. It has the corona body so was made after 1985. A serial number on the body suggests late 80's. It appears surf green but wear around the wrist area has revealed blue underneath, so it was originally daphne blue then repainted. Pickup covers are also non-original but the pickups are. A previous owner also added sperzel tuners - great choice.
Despite the bizarre changes, it's the best strat I've ever played and everyone who's had a go has said it's fantastic - easy to play and very loud. It's been played over all other guitars pretty much exclusively for the whole time I've owned it, and all my pedals and amps have been chosen to fit with this guitar. Couldn't imagine not having it!
The bass in the background is equally mysterious. Best theory is that it was made in the 70's as some kid's D&T project. Bet they would be chuffed to know it's still around.
Well my early Christmas present to myself arrived a few weeks ago. 2009 LP Standard in Desert Burst. Immaculate condition, barely any signs of wear. Plays beautifully and looks stunning. Forgive the slightly crappy pictures as I had to rip them out of FB messenger app.
Of course I had to treat myself to a few new pedals to go along with her.

A hum-canceller is unlikely to help with your hiss. The latter is broadband noise, whereas hum is the 50Hz rubbish that's a lot easier to weed out.
Your compressor is just doing it' job, raising the noise floor closer to the level of the guitar signal. They all do that and the trick is to get the gain staging right and experiment with settings to minimise the problem. Many guitarists use a noise gate to kill the problem.
The other thing to check is that you're using an isolated power supply. Either a separate power supply or a power brick that has separately isolated power to each cable. Far too many lekky guitars here, I need to adress the balance.
