Oh I do like that and the Marshall amp too. 
I might be buying this Ovation off a friend. I found it on Gumtree and he bought it, but already has a 'proper' Ovation and decided he didn't need a back up. Not sure about the colour, but for £60 can't complain, probably not worth me trying to respray it. On the plus side people might remember me at the next open mic as 'that guy with the pink guitar'.

I thought I recognised them. Should sound ok though, I expect they are loaded with Celestions.* Same guitar speakers as in the 4x12s, not full range (PA must really have sounded bad back then!)

Don't know about that but the early 80s Jap Squires are the real deal!! Take one of them over a US Fender from the same era any day of the week
I'm totally sold on Japanese Strats, which I think are fantastic and have had four:
Sonic Blue 62 reissue (kept it for longer than any other guitar I've owned)
Hank Marvin Strat (which is of course a Fiesta Red 59 reissue)
71 reissue in natural (sold back to the original owner, who recognized the grain pattern in my eBay ad)
54 reissue in Shell Pink (which I still have, nicknamed 'Michelle' by the previous owner's bandmates)
I sold the blue one a couple of years ago to a friend who had coveted it ever since first clapping eyes on it. Indeed /i was on the point of saying to him, if you're ever thinking of selling it tip me the wink. Then a couple of weeks ago, he told me he'd had it stolen!
(So I made sure I told him Michelle was for sale.)
If you see it please let me know, serial number is K 020893.

An attic find from my father in law... a Tiesco Satellite branded guitar from the '70's, I believe these were sold at places like Woolworths for £20.
A new tremolo arm and spring is on its way from Hong Kong and there is no sound whatsoever from the output jack except for crackles and noise.. The action is about 1/2" at the 12th fret despite the bridge being as low as it can go, so the neck may need a shim.

I've often thought what a wizard wheeze it would be to get one of these guitars and serioulsy uprate while maintaining the Woolworths look. Refret, fill the pickup covers with something decent, find a proper bridge that would fit, CTS pots etc, and find a way of making the body heavier to improve the sustain. It could be a real Q guitar and eminently giggable.
Saw Gmaz's and thought I'd take a picture of mine! Also built by Teisco, although I believe this was badged as an Audition, although my Dad had on occasion referred to it as a Jedsen. Used to be my Dad's, and was bought second hand from a guitar shop on Worcester in the early 70's. Rescued it from a corner of his study after he died a few years back. Remember it always knocking about when I was young, but not really played much once my Dad got back into guitars again when I was about 15 and he got some more playable stuff. Neck is straight, frets aren't too bad. It's missing some of the machine screws from the tuners, and I've not got round to getting some new ones. I doubt it will ever be any good, but has a lot of sentimental value. Need to get on with fixing it!

You're missing the bridge too.I've got the scratchplate off mine and found a loose orange wire which seems to be the ground from the bridge. I assume I can just solder it to the sleeve connection of the input jack?
