Fitted a Glendale bridge to my Telecaster this week for no other reason than I hated the previous American std one... Really love the vintage look on this one!
Nice Tele, needs a bit relic'd though. Here's a couple of mine, both hand built from scratch, even the scratchplates (old Singer sewing machine box), the switch plate
was part of a stainless RS turbo heatshield, fretboard dot inlays made from a bit scrap Wenge, nut made from a solid brass
door handle and one from an Antler found in the Drumochter hills, nearly all of the screws are from a Honda and both the maple necks and the solid mahogany bodies I made from old furniture, so well seasoned you could say.

I have had this a while, but have only just got round to changing the pickups. It did have a set of EMG 60/81 in it, but I found them to be completely sterile. It now has a tapped Gibson 498 in the bridge and a Gretsch Filtertron in the neck and is now capable of a wide range of sounds and styles. It is a swamp ash X-Plorer Studio, so smaller than my full size Explorer, which is frankly massive. I like it.

They look and sound gorgeous - proper craftsmanship and nice link to cars. Does the 3-pickup in the video give you strat neck tones and tele bridge tones? Here's a couple of mine, both hand built from scratch, even the scratchplates (old Singer sewing machine box), the switch plate

-Right is my pride and joy, an American Vintage '57 Reissue Strat made some time in the late 80s. Used to be blue, and has a different neck.
-Second from right is a Tele Deluxe '72 Reissue.
-Second from left is my wife's Ibanez RGT320Q Prestige.
-Left is wife's Gibson Parlour Rosewood AG. We also have a Taylor GS mini which is amazing for its size and price, but the Gibson is sweeter and more comfortable to play.
Amps/pedals:
- The 'Curzon' is an 18 watt boutique amp.
- The Laney is the wife's Tony Iommi signature practice amp.
- Pedalboard is in slight disarray.

I like single pickup guitars, yours looks great (not a fan of pearloid pickguard myself, so don't take the other comment to heart ). I built an Esquire myself last year and I quite fancy the 'new' Gibson Junior with a single P90 pick up, but I really can't justify another guitar, unless I sell my Gretsch perhaps...While I'm on, I don't think there is a thread for drum kits, so I'll post this picture here: I got asked to help out drumming with a friend's band as their drummer is on holiday, so I dug out my Roland TD30 kit.
I've always fancied a larger snare (the original one is a bit small on the stand, plus it meant I could use it as an extra tom tom). Managed to find one for a decent price. It's a budget brand (and B stock to boot) I've never heard of, but looks the part and works just as well as the Roland pads for 1/3 the price. I put a Roland mesh head on it as I thought this might be where they cut corners, but to be honest the one it came with was fine, but at least I have a spare.

New addition from thefretboard classifieds
Cort G290 fat. Birds eye maple neck, proper flamed maple top over swamp ash, locking tuners, coil split 5 way wiring.
I like the look of that, though not a make/model I'm familiar with.Cort G290 fat. Birds eye maple neck, proper flamed maple top over swamp ash, locking tuners, coil split 5 way wiring.
I'm probably going to sell at least one of my guitars, maybe two (my Gretsch and one Tele). Will help justify this recent purchase, a Gibson Les Paul Junior in Tobacco Sunburst:
I replaced the knobs with gold top hats, with nickel pointers, changed the jack plate for a chrome one and fitted a single ply truss rod cover, so it's now closer to an original '57 Junior I saw for sale recently (but was 6 times the price of mine!).
I only went in to try it to see how I got on with the fatter 50s profile neck as I've previously bought 60s 'slim taper' models such as my 60s Tribute Gold Top and my 2019 SG Standard. It's really comfortable to hold and plays beautifully...I was in the shop well over an hour, then realised I wasn't leaving without it...
