The only good thing about relic guitars is that you will never have that "what have I done!" moment when you put the first ding into your minty new guitar. A new ding on a new relic has no such gut-punch moment.
(Of course, the same is true when buying a well-used guitar anyway.)
I remember the short lived Highway One range from about 2003 or 2004, basically a Fender USA Stratocaster with a thin layer of paint selling for about £450. They marked if you so much as looked at them.(Of course, the same is true when buying a well-used guitar anyway.)
My 79 LP deluxe has the usual aged play wear, buckle rash and few slight scratches and dings.
The front is very good, the back less so. I had it since about 1981 it was gigged a lot on the 80s and has a great sound, I think one of the better ones made around that time. I've played and owned others from the period which were not so good. This ones a keeper but I moved onto teles and strats.

Red is a criminally under rated colour for a Les Paul - thats what both of mine are. Love that! The front is very good, the back less so. Brilliant! Mess excused...is that the Zombie, the Mesa Boogie voiced one? How do you find it? They get good reviews and you’ve got two channels too, unlike my Orange. Those Harley Benton cabs are supposed to be great too and insanely good value.I already had my two cabs, so it was just the Orange Micro Dark I purchased (easier to sneak past Mrs chemistry than a new 1 x 12 cabinet...).

That's the ticket! I really like it, I wanted the option to switch between clean/dist quickly so went for the zombie 2 as you get a foot switch & seperate controls for the 2 channels which is nice. It was between this and the microdark, I quite like a modern distortion for my type of playing so this swayed me. Takes super well to pedals compared to my previous amp (an aging Line 6). The cab seems really good and as you say, the value is tremendous. Certainly will do the job for my amateur levels!
The only issue I have is I'm going to need an attenuator as it's really surprised me how loud it is

just picked this little concert bodied filly up....
always wanted a martin..been looking at both martin and taylor but it seems the richer tone and deeper bass end are more up my street so a martin was the obvious way to go...

That is bloody rare mate.
A proper (ie acoustic) guitar on this thread, as 99.9999 % are electric guitar owners stroking each others willys.
Liking that, nice one !
