Nice. IMHO a low output neck HB paired to a punchy bridge S/C gives a great versatile guitar :-)
That's what I'm hoping: A Bareknuckle 'Mule' is the one I already have, if it works out I can buy a Riff Raff to put back into the Epiphone Les Paul it is currently in.Haven't had much chance to play it as I've been away with work, so hope to get a go on it later tonight, just with the standard pick ups for now of course.

they have done a few LP's with floyds now, the most 'famous' series is the alex lifeson axcess models, seem t be more popular nowadays. There is another run coming out this year as well, so it seems as 'odd' as it is having a floyd on an LP , it has become realtively popular. I really like them, this one has the nice neck shape , taking chunks out of the heel to body joint, ala Alex lifeson model.
I love them , fat 58 neck , lovely slinky 24.75 scale , floyd ( not set up to float, I block mine so it has no upward movement, helps immensely for me with tuning & resting my hand heel on the bridge etc )...very nice playing & sounding guitar..yes not one for the Gibson purists though!

I've got a real thing for thu-necks and set necks with a nice smooth transition like that. It makes bolt-ons look really ugly.
Any tips for a Tele classic bridge with sharp saddle screws? Theyre protruding through the brass saddles and ripping my hand to bits!
I'm actually bidding on a Classic vibe Tele at the moment, so if I win i'll have 2! A butterscotch and a sunburst. I'd be quite tempted to stick a humbucker in the neck on one of them.

You can buy shorter ones readily enough. I've got the same problem on mine, where I swapped the ashtray for individual saddles. Must get round to swapping them! Singlecoil's probably your man for detailed info but here's a link off a quick search for you.I'm actually bidding on a Classic vibe Tele at the moment, so if I win i'll have 2! New screws would be better long term because that way the plating would be intact and reduce the chance of corrosion.

Quick and easy solution would be to cut sufficient length off the bottom of the screws to make the problem go away, then apply the cut edges of the screws to some 180 W&D to take the sharp edges off and leave the ends slightly rounded.

Good point about the plating. Will see if I win this other Tele as it looks like it may have shorter screws. I'll probably get the Tele I have sorted anyway.New screws would be better long term because that way the plating would be intact and reduce the chance of corrosion.

Wanted to ask peoples opinions, should I buy this:

Ive really wanted that specific model pretty much just on how it looks, but undecided wether to go for that or an LP Studio.

It looks pretty good to me, and Les Pauls are more than a bit boring, but make sure you are happy with 10s because if you want to go any heavier it looks like pretty much all of the intonation adjustment has been used up.https://reverb.com/uk/item/6365648-fender-jaguar-s...

I've got 10s on my Strat and my Tele so don't think I'd want to go heavier on a Jag, not sure how they compare to play to the other two because they've got a shorter scale length, I've played my tutors LP and it's a lovely guitar but definitely prefer Fender necks. If you want a "rock" humbucker guitar buy the lp... No contest. It'll have more sustain if that's your thing.
A good Jag is a thing of beauty but IMHO they shine with single coils.
As mentioned above they are a shorter scale than an lp and they "need" 10s at least to keep a similar string tension to a set of 9s on a strat or tele. If you play 10s on a strat then 11s on a jag will feel familiar.

I recently pulled the trigger on this… a Fender Telecoustic.
Don't laugh. If I'd Googled the reviews I wouldn't have even picked it up. Unplugged it falls somewhere between hopeless, appalling, and cardboard. Plugged in, though, is a different matter. Plugged in, we are in Lindsay Buckingham territory, which is rather nice. The pick-up is a Fishman and is waayyy better than most of the scratchy piezos that I've used. It's not going to make you think you're playing a well-miked Martin, but there's nothing unpleasant about it at all.
The feel falls rather cunningly between an electric and an acoustic - lighter and livelier than an unplugged electric; less bulky and stiff than an acoustic. The neck is, I think, a reasonable bolt-on Tele job. The body has just enough woodiness to make you feel like you're playing an acoustic. And, though I may have been lucky with this one, the intonation and action are spot-on, which is surprising.
A few weeks in and I find I am still enjoying it, to the disgust of my proper acoustic, which is sitting in the corner glowering at me, as only a well-bred cedar-topped guitar can glower. Sorry, Frantisek, but this new usurper has a springy charm which is surprisingly durable. I could even believe that a few days of intense playing is beginning to make the horrid unplugged sound loosen up. There is a Nic-Jones type percussive snap to it that makes my good acoustic seem rather dark (though that one's definitely in need of new strings) and the slightly nasal sound quality has a truly dobro-like tone to it which is not unattractive. To my surprise, I haven't picked up any of my other instruments since I've owned this.
So there you go. I probably shouldnt'a bought it. I could probably live without it. But it's certainly paid for itself, fun-wise, already. I reckon, in a quiet sort of way, it's a keeper.

Anybody know why that colour's called 'Graffiti Yellow' ?
It's s Chevy colour from one of the Hot Rods in the film "American Graffiti". IIRC Fender were making a guitar for Jeff Beck (who also builds Hot Rods) and this is the colour he wanted (although I also understand he changed his mind before they finished it!)Edited by Mave on Monday 28th August 15:28
