Fooking good aren't they. One of the greatest bands in the world.

Anyone else like them?

Anyone catch them on Jools' show just now?

Tickets for UK gigs in Nov/Dec just went on sale if anyone's interested.

Glad to see I'm not alone.

Latest album 'High Violet' is a stunner.

The last three albums have been absolutely brilliant. High Violet took a while to grow, but love it now. Going to try and catch them in Manchester at the end of November - saw them a few years back and they're ace live.

Good to know - I've got tickets for Warwick Arts Centre.

By the way, this might be worth a look:

"RACING DREAMS is the award winning coming-of-age story about three kids who dream of one day racing in NASCAR - featuring music by The National".

Hopefully we'll be able to catch it in the UK somewhere...

Judging by the trailer this looks quite good, will keep an eye out for it.

Well I saw them the other night and they were, as expected, absolutely brilliant.

One of the best gigs I've seen in over 20 years of concert-going.

Boxer and Alligator (my favourite) are both fantastic, and Sad Songs is merely very good.

If you like Velvet I doubt you'll be disappointed with the older stuff.

I like "Boxer" and "Cherry Tree". I'm giving "Allligator" a spin now to see where it fits in.

But they really, absolutely, utterly nailed it with "High Violet", so I would start there and work backwards.

High Violet is record of the year for me, by a long margin.

I saw them on Saturday night in Stockholm. We were right at the front. Matt kept invading the crowd. They were incredibly good.

The National is one of the few bands of which I have listened to every piece of music they have brought out.

Haven't yet managed to see them live. Hoping to change that though.
