I couldn't believe it when I saw this on the news. I took my son to see him last year, and still recall how my son's jaw dropped within 10 seconds of Gary starting to play.

In my view, one of the very best players around. I enjoyed seeing him even more than Clapton. R.I.P

No offence, but Clapton was never in the same league, even with The Yardbirds.

Possibly so, but I always liked Cream, and only really discovered how good Gary Moore was later on.

I'm glad that I got to see him once, but can't believe that I won't see him again.

Very sad and shocking news. I feel lucky that I managed to see him live, a very talented guitarist.

RIP.

Why do we bother having a news forum when nearly every news item can fit into one of the multiple sub-fora?

It's the same when a sports or a TV/film star star dies - they end up in the appropriate sub forum.

PH is slightly bonkers these days. News is news.
