You’ve asked the same questions repeatedly but don’t seem to like most of the answers. One thing to consider here in the UK is the current trend for diesels to be made the next cash cow, if it’s not Euro 6, it’s going to get hammered more in any of the CAZs that are popping up in a city near you soon.Plus the extended ULEZ, on street parking permits and council car parks etc etc. Non Euro 6 diesel sales here in the UK are falling through the floor.

Not exactly , no one has given an actual pricing , which is fair enough , how have I just not liked the answer ?

This particular person expressed an interest in it , in querying where he'd see the pricing of it , don't see what the problem with that is

I don't "not like their answers ". I'm keen to see if people thing it's worth £5 or £50k this guy expressed an interest

You might also like to notice I didn't re activate the thread

The interest in it would be in the commercial rural farming forestry mining sector I'd imagine not sure if those charge would matter so much then ?

Hi i was wandering whether you had imorted your ute in to the UK, i know it was a while ago but i quite like them.
Cheers Andy
no next summer, would there be a market in the uk? there is a dual cab for sale in Ireland at the moment. Silver around 80,00km steel tray and few other bits, thinks is a 2013 but its gxl

the only thing putting me off is you could be stuck with it? no market to sell it too

I'll keep you in mind !
What you think it be worth in uk
2009 say 180,000km
Usual arb stuff on it

Only thing I'm hesitant about is if I bring it back get sick of it , I can't sell it and access the money to use for something else

What you reckon it would be worth there?
Well i seriously looked at buying on in Oz and shipping it back, then registering it here.

all in i thought i was in for £45k

having said that i wouldn't import a 120k mile version and if i was importing i'd be choosing the exact spec i wanted.

Not having see the truck or knowing the exact spec its difficult to give a value, if it was well looked after, had all the right kit (ARB bumpers, sliders, wheels etc,) then £30k - £35k would seem reasonable.

If you put it up for £25k you'd sell it immeditately i suspect.

A good condition prepped 80 series can make £12-15k, you can't find a v8 200 for less than £28k, £30k plus is more realistic for a 200.

You may find the right buyer (especially on the continent) and get £40-£50k for it.

Thanks for that those numbers are interesting , least it's not a complete write off in value can recover a lot if not all of it

Most of em here have high kms in uk terms they still want $35k for ones with 300,000km on em. They're view and our view on kms is a lot diff.
The residuals on em here on anything landcruiser is a ridiculous doesn't seem to be much different there

2009 truck with over 100K miles. Near enough 10 years old. Landcruisers are fetching around £12K, Hiluxes less than that. Why would a ute be worth more than twice as much?

a 79 series with thev v8 diesel is a funtionally different vehicle to a hilux

10 year old landcruiser v8s are fetching £30k. 25 year old 80 series landcruisers can make £12k quite happilly.

A 79 series to a hilux is as a hilux to a rav4!

OK, understand that, but, in the UK 99% of people would be happy with the 'standard' offerings at that price.

If you marketed it to the overlanding commuinity, you would sell it in a shot. For how much I don't know, but these are the ultimate go anywhere tourer and I'd chop the 110 in for one in a heartbeat if it was even half way affordable.

It will always sell here as they are just not available. A solid front axle, locking hubs and a proper engine. I'd be interested too!

I'd be quite surprised if you were to get as much in the UK as Aus. I take it you are having it shipped for free?

Second hand cars generally go for about half as much over here. The British are very strange about mileage and prices tend to drop off over 100k miles. Admittedly it is a specialist truck that has never been available in the UK, and there is a small overlanding scene over here that could potentially get quite excited about it. How readily convertible to overland is it? Is it the same chassis as a troopy? The kind of people interested would be less concerned about mileage than the general population but still probably more so than the Aussies. It's really difficult to value, rarity could mean you get a shed load for it, but equally that you never find a buyer and end up giving it away at a huge loss.

By way of example on prices, I sold my slightly beaten up 97 Petrol Prado with 250km on the clock in Melbourne in 2013 by ebay auction. I came back to the UK and bought a 1 owner, 2003 100 series Landcruiser in much better condition, lower miles, and had enough left over for a couple of tanks of diesel.

I would contact http://www.neneoverland.co.uk/ as previously mentioned and see if they would buy it / find you a buyer. The put a lot of work into prepping their cars for overlanding and their prices are not representative of what you would achieve just putting it on Autotrader (UK equivalent of Carsales)

If you did import this and are thinking of selling at any point, let me know as I’d be very interested if the price is right
