Some of these tyres come in quite competitively priced in 20". I've used the GG AT2 before and thought they were fine in all conditions and long lasting. Does anyone know if the newer AT 3 is any good or is it too early days yet?

Thanks.

I have some on my D4, only probably 1k miles. Road noise is good, general road use fine so far. Been off road once, all good, but I don't have much experience so not much to compare against.

I echo the statement above. I've had them on my D3 for about 1500 miles and I'm very happy with them. Taken them off road twice and they have been fine 🙂

Hopefully these will replace the ageing GG AT collection on my Disco TD5 so watching this thread with interest.

I have had a set on my RRS since last November. On road still fairly low road noise. OK in the wet. Seem to be wearing well. Off road, they have only had to encounter Norfolk’s wet and muddy green lanes and as you would expect no issues. Like the original ATs very good value for money.
As an aside. I fitted a size taller 255 55 19. Instead of 50s to my Sport. They have really softened the ride somewhat, more akin to a FFRR.

I had them on my RRS but they were only on there a couple of months before I sold it, I found them pretty decent on road, not noisy, only off roaded with them once and was very muddy, they coped well, I'd recommend them.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I have about 4 weeks to make my mind up, I'm also quite taken with the Yokohama Geolandar GO15 A/T, though they are a little more expensive

Have a look also at the Toyo open country AT. I was off road yesterday in a td5 disco with them fitted and they were excellent.

The GG AT3 is the current favorite for 19/20s for Discovery 3 owners. Don't think I have ever heard anyone even mention that Yokohama tyre. The only comment I have on the Yokos, is my my wife's C-Max has Yokos fitted and the fronts are currently on 30k and still look to have a few thousand miles left.

The Yokohamas I had on my D3 were excellent, as good as the previous GGs - possibly quieter. However Yokohamas are available in a slightly larger 32.5", the GG and Toyos only 32". As far as my searches have revealed anyway.

Thanks for your input everyone. I have purchased x4 Yokohamas as mentioned (Tyreleader £734). The Toyos and GGs were not available in the size (265/60/20) I decided I wanted for my little project. I have also purchased a set of Johnson Rods for a gentle 2" lift to my L322 RR. I'll post some pics when It's all completed.

Tyres have arrived. 1.3" increase in sidewall will make a difference to ride quality I'm hoping.
