Ok thanks, am now realising that it’s not realistic or practical.

Will have to have a rethink.
What sort of budget do you have for this? And what sort of use at either end of the crossing?

6’ of water is some serious wading. And you have to consider what would happen if it goes wrong? How deep is the water either side of the causeway? What would you do if you got stuck or broke down part way across?

There are amphibious vehicles capable of this. But a sea crossing has to potentially be more hazardous than most other types of water crossing.

You have things like the Argocat. Not all that road friendly but you can fit an outboard to them.

The bigger Supercat.

And a host of other military amphibious vehicles. Although life jackets and even an inflatable onboard might be a sensible option.

If you really just wanting to wade rather than have an amphibious Vehcile. Then a big mud truck has the capability.

But it has to be said. A car parked the other end of the causeway and a small boat would seem to be quite a sensible option smile

How much money do you have? A military Beach Amphibious Recovery Vehicle can operate fully submerged and keep you dry if you remember to close the roof.
I remember getting dropped off to a Rigid Raider in quite boucky conditions from one of these, the raider got stuck under the tracks and very quickly swamped. Mission aborted and a helo ordered.

Not sure any steel Chassis is going to thank you for crossing that depth of seawater on a regular basis! You'd end up spending more time cleaning it than driving it.

A URAL 6x6 can ford about 6ft. Big difference betwwen that and wading though.....

a crop sprayer with all the expensive stuff off the back sold could do (and would be cheap once costs recouped)

Underwater jeep from Dirt Every Day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icp2Pb5uoME

Think it was done in a more temperate climate.

There is a video of a series Land Rover driving in the sea. The fix the air intak and exhaust to an inflatable boat which floats off the load bed sa the water gets deeper. Can’t find it now.

I would suggest something like this for the application described:
