Never heard of him wink

TEW is a very lovely job, pretty well equates to a 100" NAS spec.

hehe (Looking at your profile, I suspect our paths have probably crossed on occasions...)

Indeed... ISTR It was used as some sort of fire engine in its former life. Many moons ago, when Nick first restored TEW, I remember reading about the restoration in LRO. it has since been refurbished recently by a friend of mine.

I bumped into Nick just after lockdown but recognised TEW before I spotted him stood next to it. hehe

I remember seeing TEW being built. In deepest Somerset.

153BVN is the best 100” I know of.

Yes Pete Rowe's and he built my first 100" for me.
Did a couple of years competition with that, both trials and comp safari, and then I built a more dedicated 100" for Comp safaris and then ran out of money.
Now I've a Cayenne for towing Horses for my wife and daughter.

I think our paths have definitely crossed!

TEW has had some interesting iterations, from RRC to split screen hybrid to the Frogs Island Defenderisation to the latest Ben Stowe NAS style in white. I didn't know it had been a fire engine as well!

Here's another gratuitous photo, at Gaydon Aug 21, mines the Shire Blue V8 soft top alongside. The wheelbase should be 8" different, but TEW is a little longer than 100"- closer to 102"

Very subtle.
Didn't know it had Stromberg carburettors.

Just to butt in, I used to live in Bampton, I was the milkman there many years ago.
Quite heavily into AWDC activities in late 80's / early 90's.
