Camera's fixed now Andy - so expect weekly hillclimb pictures from me again!

Here's some La Vien Bleu pics from a few weeks back;
Great stuff, Dan! Any more photos of the Renault 21? Somebody more knowledgable help me out - wasn't there a one-make race series for these? This one was at Oulton Park last year.

Yes they did have a one make series called the Europa Cup for the Renault 21 Turbo, it supported the European based Grand Prix rounds and ran in 1989 and 1990 having replaced the Alpine V6 Turbo that was previously used for the Europa Cup.

Massimo Sigala won the 21 Turbo Europa Cup in 1989 & 1990, the Europa Cup wasn't run in 1991 and in 1992 the championship switched to the Clio for the first time. Nowadays the championship has morphed into the Eurocup Renault Mégane V6 Trophy which forms part of the World Series by Renault package

The car in the picture is now owned by Bob Claxton but I understand it was the car that Michael Bleekemolen ran in the championship in period in full Samson cigarette livery. Hope that helps Chevron, I'll now take the anorak back off!!

Chevron, that Renault was back at Oulton today for the CNC round, sounds fantastic spooling up before it changes gear!

Gutted I couldn't be there at Oulton but was on a stag do. Any photos?

Few more from my archive...

And to get us in the mood for this weekend's Silverstone Classic (more available if requested - can't remember whether I've shared these before)...

Slow shutter speed, not to everyones taste but I enjoy this style, almost looks like a chalk drawing, its a challenge especially when the weather is dull, dark and hammering it down!

I really like that style too!

I always think that to take a perfectly crisp picture is to document the car/bike, to make it look like it's going quick is to document the event. Or something like that - I know what I mean. That's not to say a crisp picture doesn't give the sense of speed. Christ, I'm confusing even myself now hehe

Chevron and I have discussed this before on here - I love the really early motoring photography where wheels are distorted looking. They just make it look so action-packed smile

After a very lazy Loton meeting - I'm concentrating on filming - more on that in the next few weeks hopefully.. Me and my girlfriend (I know cloud9) are going to attempt to collaborate various runs together and make a few decent videos hopefully! Although Loton proved that I need to order a few tripods etc as my hands aren't as steady as I perhaps thought! I'll post the videos on here if that's ok with everyone?

But I'll be back in photography mode at Gurston this weekend, as there's some quite special/exciting cars going that I want pictures of!

Anyway, enough chit chat, here's a couple of pictures from Sunday;
