Practice starts at 9.00 on Saturday (no commentary), admission £10.00, and 9.30 on Sunday (race day + full commentary) admission £12.50.
I spotted that bit! I wondered whether you chaps with greater hillclimbing experience could advise whether to expect the full field out on Saturday or if it will be a limited number of participants. Either way, I'm keen to head over. I'll be even more keen if I can fix my stupid broken Lotus by then.
Will be a full entry Andy, it'll just be practice without the commentry. So three runs each I should imagine. I may be there both days anyway mate, so would be nice to catch up again. Saturdays are a lot better for pictures, as there's obviously less people. If you've never been before, you're in for a treat

The Trevor and Scott battle will be a good one, as will Jos and Roger assuming the Raptor is ready and on form following Lee's shunt at Doune. Lee and Alex are both strong at Loton as well so that could have a bearing on the run off results, as long as the Firehawk holds together for this event.

The Trevor and Scott battle will be a good one, as will Jos and Roger assuming the Raptor is ready and on form following Lee's shunt at Doune. Lee and Alex are both strong at Loton as well so that could have a bearing on the run off results, as long as the Firehawk holds together for this event.

I think the Raptor will edge it (again if it's ready) as Jos broke the outright record, earlier in the year (as did Scott and Trevor in the same run off) and seems to have the momentum this year, and he'll have a massive bearing on the title race. If you're going, I suggest watching the raptor around the lower parts of the track, it's actually unbelievable how much speed it can carry around fletchers dellow and triangle. I might come along to watch on sunday. Competed there for the first time a couple of weeks back and its a brilliant track (for spectating too).My money would be on Scott if it's dry, Jos or Alex if its wet.

So how does a G15 end up in modified series and a Davrian in modified specialist? Neither car makes the 1000/year production numbers to get into series (both qualified under the old 100/year threshold), indeed there weren't a thousand of either car built in total over their entire production lifetime. No, the Ginetta, the regulations were changed a two or three years ago to make both Davrians and Ginetta G15s (and quite a lot of other old limited production and/or kit cars) ineligible for modified series. As the owner of a Davrian and a Clan I did not agree with that particular change in the regulations, obviously enough 
popped along saturday afternoon and most of sunday, great event on a lovely hill.

Jos goodyear and Lee Adams in the superb little Raptor 1600 should 150% commitment at every stage as did Alex summers who was unlucky to fall off at Museum, a real S or Bust run, very good to watch and the thing nakes the oddest noise being supercharged, the noise sort of bouncing around the tree lined Cedar-anything-but-Straight.
'Old Man' Moran was on it, Scotty even quicker, but ultimately Scary Trevor took the honours. didnt stay for the final run-off (kids were knackered!) but heard Will Hall gave the Force team plenty to smile about with an outright win in the V8 Force. Does look like its shed its bodywork on the hill though, sure Ian Dayson and Will have plans to clothe it for next season.
anyone that fancies a great family day out with some specatcular driving, better get the 2013 season opener in the diary quick!

Just to add what CNH said really. The first run off was dominated by Trev, although he missed a gear! Scott looked a lot more on the edge than he normally is, sliding around triangle when he's normally the master of smooth. Well done to Morgan Jenkins for sneaking in, too!
The second run off is what in my opinion, the championship is about, and that's drama! Around half way through the second runs, the weather decided it didn't quite know what it wanted to do, and was raining one minute, and not the next. It started when Jos Goodyear went straight on at the top of the hill, meaning that he wouldn't qualify for the second run off, and confirming his fourth place in the championship. It was still dry(ish) when Lynn Owen and Eynon price came up the hill, and they both qualified, Eynon continuing his good return to hillclimbing. The weather also gave opportunity for a few 1100cc cars to qualify, and Steve Marr in the little PCD Saxon, and Simon Fidoe took full advantage with Simon scoring some points. It was also nice to see Graham Wynn qualify in his closed wheel Force. Graham stormed up the hill on his run, and took a brilliant third place. 2nd, was Willis, who always seems to excel in these conditions, and although the weather was slowly worsening, still managed to pick up 9 points. (although the championship was already over at this point) After flying up the hill in qualifying in a very sideways manner, Will Hall took his first ever run off win with one of the most committed runs I think I've ever seen! This produced a huge cheer from the crowd, and was a perfect way to round off the year. With 2012 gone, we also say goodbye to Lee Adams, who announced his retirement from the sport this weekend. (according to the commentary!)
