Hi,

I'm interested in entering this in October. It would have to be the SPA race not the Snett race.
I have Googled but am struggling to find much info.
E.g. how to enter, entry fees, license requirements etc.

I would need to source a car too.
If a built car is available that would be preferable but if not I would be happy to commission a build.

Basically I'm keen but just need some more info so I can persuade 3 other idiots to join me (and co fund)

Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks

Not the most amazing website but should have everything you need on there. We will be racing at SPA with Midway motorsport

We are building a car and will be renting out seat time......the car we have bought is a 2011 car and therefore a strong donar car.

Must admit that I'm interested in this series, and I'm trying to persuade a bunch of mates to go 25% each to join in. Sounds like good fun to me.

Well, we have bought a car - next step is to pick it up and order the kit!

I'd like to be, but I suspect that running the car by committee will preclude that!

We shall see. Picking the car up tomorrow night..

Spa - double check that a National B is all thats needed, other UK series which go to race at Spa often require a National A.

You do need Nat A for Spa. (I raced in the 24hr 2CV last Oct in a C1).

That does look really good fun and very good value entry fees

Quite tempted, although I'm tempted by almost every budget race series!

Thought Spa might by Nat A, despite what the regs say. You'll almost certainly require FIA compliant clothing and fire extinguisher that is in date as well.

So, anyone wanting to do Spa will have to get their National A, which means 6 signatures (1 can be from a days marshalling)

In doing some research into this, over on the 2CV forums there seems to be a lot of hostility and they don't want C1's back at Spa 24h?

Whilst I appreciate everyone loves different cars, 2CV's do nothing for me, the thought of racing a little C1 does, but part of the appeal of this series would be the 24h, so im concerned that last year might be just a one off?

The Belgian organisers are allowing the C1's to race as a class on their own. There are over 30 cars either built or in build at the moment.

There are also 6hr races at Criox (two races on Sat and one Sun) and a 6hr Anneau du Rhin with the Belgian 2CV club this year, the season opener was at Spa last weekend.

At the moment there is 54 hours of C1 racing on the C1 Club calendar at the moment. 66 if you add Race of Remembrance in November which has its own C1 class.

It is true that the UK 2CV 24hr race is unlikely to allow C1's to enter, but looking at the numbers of cars being built, we may have enough cars for a dedicated C1 only 24hr race in 2018.

Shameless plug, if you're looking for a seat in any of the races, then we have seats available in our car.

I think it's only the uk 2cv club that are feeling a bit threatened, mainland Europe are keen to bolster their grid.

Thank you for the offer, myself and a friend are very keen on this in our own car, but I am just doing some research first. Overall it all seems very positive, until I found the UK 2CV forum.

We would have to use this year to get signatures to get our National A licenses to then be able to race in European races next season.
