Morning all

I appreciate this is a dumb question - but hoping for some voices of experience.

I have just bought some Extreme VR2 tyres in the R5 soft compound. They are very soft incidentally - though in terms of times over the previous AR1s I was using its a bit inconclusive so far.

However, I have only done 15 miles TO Shelsley Walsh at road speed and 4 runs up the hill since putting them on the car.

Is this enough to scrub them in to have them be effective?

I was thinking about using them to drive up the A417/A49 early morning to Shrewsbury for Loton Park this weekend - is this going to help AT ALL - or is it all a bit much?

Once again - apologies for the dumbass question

I have put brand new Yokohama A048s on in the paddock immediately before wet races and IMO by the time you have driven to the grid and done the green flag lap they are pretty much ready to go. In the dry I'd expect one short run to do the job.

I should add that some people think I'm mad and swear blind that the tyres need to be scrubbed in, so in summary you should do whatever makes you feel confident / properly prepared- but suffice to say I think you're doing enough.

I would say the use you've given them so far is more than adequate
