Would it help you if you left the venue for some unmasked time to recover for a while during down time?
It will, that's my plan.

I warned about this above. Knockhill did it last month. I raised a query about it but the response I got felt like they thought I was some sort of anti-masker simpleton, they didn't even ask if I had a reason. I have a genuine exemption, but I don't wish to discuss it in any way with anyone. I am going to race over the weekend and will try to make it work with the mask, but am expecting to have to leave early and if so I'm possibly finished with motorsport.

Could always sit in the corner of your awning/motorhome/car etc very slowly drinking.

Surely if you can wear a Balaclava then wearing a mask won’t be much trouble?
and this is the problem, people questioning and second guessing. FYI, I don't wear a balaclava, its not a requirement for UK motorsport.
It is for certain types, but I take your about the the lack of certainty

Finishing with motorsport over this is a bit extreme! By all means stop competing until it goes back to normal but that sounds like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Which may be why you can’t wear a mask

Big assumption. I said possibly. The possibly was not because of masks, but a limited window in which I may be able to compete generally, if this time is consumed by the mask policy I may possibly be finished with motorsport if I can't make it work with the mask.

Really just reverts as back to where we were (mask in high density areas or where social distancing can't be maintained), but no medical exemptions..
