The BRSCC weekend should be fun - both mx5 championships are on one grid on the Saturday so be interesting to see 60 cars heading into copse…

CTCRC season opener at Donington Park 22/23rd March, i'll be out in Pre-'66 touring cars - 20 entries so far, should be a good laugh!

Theres a rally at Donington Park on sunday 16 March, if you fancy that?
Yours truly is taking part.
Will be a mix of WRC Rally 2 cars at the sharp end, a fair few Escorts & hot hatches etc.
Plenty of places to stay nearby as the East Mids Airport has loads of hotels & theres B&Bs in Castle Donington.

Realised I didn't post an epilogue so here goes...

Spent Saturday and Sunday at Silverstone, they kindly allowed me an early check in Saturday and late checkout Sunday (turned on the charm lol)

Watched a bit from my balcony then went wandering around various parts of the track. Met my cousin who drove down from near Derby and we spent the day walking most of the circuit.

Saturday night great meal in the hotel restaurant and watching some of the F1 on the big screen in the bar. I set my alarm to get up and watch the race (4AM IIRC) as they were opening the bar, however slept in and watched it in bed!

Sunday spent again viewing the races from various spots, then left to travel to another cousins in Milton Keynes for Sunday roast. Monday morning drove across to a marina near Cambridge to spend the day on a fellow PHer's boat

A great weekend, would definitely recommend the Hilton and will return next trip
