Legalisation is possible, sometimes I am asthonished what can be done.
My GTR was registered in spring 2011, though being rather unfinished
in my eyes (as it is yet).
But be prepared, it will NOT be cheap and takes some time.

Hi Michael,
did you swap the BMW for the reason you didn't pass tüv with it or was it simply to weak compared to an LS7.
BTW, which gearbox did you use with your BMW install?

Hi Cornel,

I swapped it as it never runs.
Bought it as a test bench engine with modified ECU but that was not the case.
ECU was stock and I could not find anyone who was willing or able to modify it.
Meanwhile it was to late to legalise the car with that engine as it only met EURO2.

Decided to use an LS7 in 2008.

First gearbox was a G64/20 then a G96/50 which I now use with the LS7, both with the same mounting pattern as the G50.
Gearbox adapter, flywheel and engine still lying around if someone is interested.
