I will place my control unit directly in front of brake master cylinders. I have that drawing and yes measurements are difficult. Thats why I am interested in your dimensions. Quite understand that you may tell me to take my own.
What do you mean directly in front of the brake master cylinders? Afaik there`s not enough space - it is much better mounted and protected underneath the operning for the steering rod. There`s a rubber mounting plate supplied in the kit that you can bolt right into the panel. Here`s the final layout for the ABS loom in the GTR. I had them move the brake pedal switch cables to another position that made more sense in our case. The wheel speed cables are quite short in the loom as the sensors have a 900mm cable already.
Had the Bosch M4 Race Traction Control and ABS system fitted to my Radical RXC during the build, works great. I have the Aim MXS dash as well and when the systems are active the 3 lights on each side scroll down in purple. The controls are on the small panel to the left and below the Aim dash with T/C being the top and ABS below. The T/C is 10 point adjustable and the ABS 12 point. Both can be switched off. With the torque of the Chevy V8's I would say the T/C is a good option. As far as I know they both come together as one package. I know some people think any driver aids take away the raw driving feel of these type of cars and I can understand that. What also needs to be understood us that we are all different hence all the different interpretations you see.
On that subject from my experience of owning both the Radical and an Ultima LS7 I would add EPAS (5point adjustable from none to normal road car) and update the front brakes to 380mm 6 pot calipers.

Not directly, but i have spent more hrs than i care to think about developing and calibrating all sorts of powertrain systems with Bosch application engineers
Hi Mark, I know this is now several years after this thread saw light, so I know there is every likelihood you no longer have any involvement with Bosch. However, I am really interested in the ABS systems Bosch makes and particularly what, if anything, makes them better than systems from competitors, in terms of hardware. e.g: are the components capable of achieving faster reaction times than other systems? I am most interested in the hydraulic modulator itself. Thanks again and hopefully you see this!Gassing Station | Ultima | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
