Thanks for pushing this Dom.... I do like this idea.... However I do hate the road going version has all the functions aligned to the wrong colour lights..... Indicators are green and full beam blue on pretty much every car Ive ever owned for example!

On the mxg/s you can change the colour of alarm lights - are these fixed on the strada?

Thanks Dom do keep me updated.

It would be a great addition if it's doable in our set up but it does need to be affordable for me to be able to justify it. If its going to cost hundreds or more on top of the cost of the dash unit then it won't viable for me.

Great strides so far and my thanks for the effort you are putting into this.

I was reading up on the Stack ST9918 last night and it's very similar to the Aim MXG or the Motec C127. The price is about the same for both dashes, but the Stack/Autometer sensors cost more than the Aim sensors, 2-3x more in some cases. The only feature I like better about the Stack is that the buttons are on the face of the dash rather than the sides.

I don't know about Dom but I decided to go with the AIM MXS and the matching gauge surround from Ultima. There is a suite of sensors I want to run for each corner, 16 channel brake disc temp, 16 channel tire temp, and suspension load sensors which I can log with the dash and overlay onto video. These are all AIM sensors ready to go, and I just need a data hub at each corner. My kit should be shipping after the Stoneleigh show, and hopefully ill have it in July/August to start my build then.

You have been 'selling' your Ultima for years now Dom. Is it for real this time or will you suddenly realise you can't get that performance for anything near the money elsewhere.
Or are you getting too old to be able to get in it!!!!!

That's the problem eh.

You can't use the performance on the road really, if you don't use it much what's the point.

Until you go for a drive and the cycle repeats smile

Problem with PH you have to download them, then upload the pics to a hoster and then link to them ....so its a bit of a pain, but here we are.
Sneak preview of the factory fitment that I believe is not quite yet ready for production.

Hi Guys,
I'm after a little help.
We've just fitted an AIM MXS digital dash to my Dad's race car running Motec M4 management and we are struggling to configure it all.
The system is all hard wired and up and running but wondered if anyone knows how to do this or ideally anyone we can get to come and do it for us.
We have spent many hours of head scratching and faffing around and the car needs to be ready for the first meeting in a week.
Many thanks,
Gilbo
