Update for anyone interested.
Kumho v70s in 335/30/18 are no more - unless Kumho get an order for 100+ they will not be made.
Had a conversation with Toyo and the good news is they are going to be making the new R888R in 335/30/18.
Slight downside is the closest match for a front is 255/35/18, but if you can squeeze those on, there will shortly be a good track tyre available again.

Did you manage to get any R888Rs? I've been looking around, and they are listed, but nobody seems to have any stock.

Daniel
Hi Daniel,
Unfortunately not. Toyo emailed me saying they couldn’t get the 335/30/18 888r through all the tests so the widest available I think is 295.
It’s obviously a Euro only issue as they are sold in the US strangely. But the cost of getting them over doesn’t make long term sense to me so I have changed to 19” to have availability of all modern track tyres

That's a pity. It's also strange because I thought quite a few of the 80s supercars use that size (Ferarri F40, I think), so there must be a market for them. Maybe only for street posing, so not really for driving hard?
I'll have to rethink my options. Maybe 19" as you say, and then get some decent track tyres for the 18" wheels from the States. Nitto NT01 are supposed to be very good.
Regards
Daniel

OK so Kumhos and Toyos are unavailable in 335/18 as are Nankangs in Track day tyres so what is the alternative
Since my last post I have contacted BMTR and they have informed me that no track day tyres are available in 335x18. I suppose the only solution is narrower rims.John-b9xqk said:

Since my previous post I have contacted Demo Tweeks and spoke to Carl on 01978 663028 and he informs that Toyo 888 are available and can be ordered through them.John-b9xqk said:

Same with me Steve with 888r’s.
It’s probsbly worth an email to toyo, they’re very helpful, they may no longer be producing r888s either.
Although 335s were a supercar fitment, those supercars didn’t tend to use toyo or kumho, more likely Pirelli and these older tyres are available, they’re just rubbish on track.
Only 3 options for track use I think:
Keep 18s for track only and put slicks on
Import 18” track tyres from US
Change to 19”
No cheap way unfortunately. I ended up going 19 as that guarantees the best tyres for the longest.
It’s funny, I remember speaking to Richard about going to 19”, must have been 2015. Wish I’d sold my 18s then lol

Carl at Demon Tweeks told me that Toyo were no longer producing them but had old stock of 50 that were 2years old. Obviously not ideal but would still be far superior to road tyres.
Slicks of course perfect with unrated coil springs would be better. Any suggestions on spring rates?
2 years old would be fine, but Demon Tweeks told me they didn't have any. Maybe they're waiting for higher bids? They know the supply and demand situation, after all.Slicks of course perfect with unrated coil springs would be better. Any suggestions on spring rates?
Or did you mean Toyo had some stock?
