My shapely rear end...

The new diffuser is carbon fibre and beautifully made by SS and (to my eye) finishes the rear nicely.

He also fitted electric power steering for me (I'm too busy at present) to help my slightly arthritic wrists (getting older is a bh).

I can now turn the steering with one hand easily at standstill. I have yet to try it on the road, but he and SR have fitted a sensitivity controller and an 'off' switch (completely removes assistance).
As ever SS has completed the work to a very high and professional standard.

If you have a complete car and are thinking of EPS then don't ask him to fit it. He will not do one with the body on again.

If you want it fitted to a car you are building (but have not fitted any bodywork) then he is happy to do another.

I will hopefully get a chance to take her out for a run over the w/e and will report how the car feels on the road.

good work Paul!

I'm interested in the rear diffuser: how much does it cost please?
Do not you have problems with the opening of the clam?
I have the hook-towed under and I certenly should do a "scan "or similar in carbon...

Stefano

It is £480 in UK but there would be a shipping charge to Italy to add.

I am busy at present so haven't opened the rear clip (Steve fitted it when he did my steering).
Should be Ok if you have standard rear clip opening.

Nice upgrades you've done there Paul.

I imagine the clip pivots around the inside of the diffuser. If so, that's a very neat way of doing things.

Looks good. I have the reverie diffuser. Looks very similar from the photo, is there any difference, apart from the price, lol.

I have not seen the Reverie diffuser but Steve's is a two part piece and beautifully made.

I have not had chance to drive the car (or even go in the garage) since I collected it, due to a building project.
I will take some more pictures of both diffuser and EPS and post them when I get a chance.

The EPS is fully electric. It powers up when the ignition is switched on (don't need engine running).

The parking sensors are cheap one's from ebay in silver plastic (other colours are available) and the beeper is just above my right ear (so yes, I can hear it).

My car covers 3 to 4 K miles a year and gets parked in all sorts of places, so the sensors are useful.

Had a chance to drive the GTR with the newly fitted EPS this evening at long last.

It does take a little getting used to, but there is still 'feel' to tell you what the front is doing (albeit reduced a little).

The steering wheel tugging over road imperfections is considerably reduced and you do feel more in control. Effort os much reduced and it helps make the turn in sharper (due to less effort).

I am still twiddling with the sensitivity adjustment to get the best setting but if I switch the system off completely, boy what a difference.

Early days but I am very happy with the new driving experience.

Well done SS.

I'm almost ready to fit my body so it maybe a good time to look into an EPS. Where can the EPS be purchased? Is it a straightforward install or does it require chassis mods?

My EPS is a GM unit from something like a Corsa.

It is a very tight fit and does need some brackets making to secure the unit. It does add a bit of weight, but as I have lost a stone it has not affected the overall weight of the car!! biggrin

If you need more info talk to Steve.
