I will be installing traction control on my new GTR build. I have found speed trigger wheel .com located in England. They advertise a trigger specifically for the Ultima. Has anyone used these if so how did they fit? Which sensor did you use and I assume you built your own sensor mount but if not where did you find one. Lee

The new GTR will be run on a Motec 130. Pretty cool, we are using a Motec ECU connect by can bus to a Motec PDM and a Motec dash. Also employing a Summit wireless steering wheel with the Summit receiver hard wired to the PDM. This combination makes for a very adaptable system for instance with the turn signals if you bump the turn signal that could be a lane change of 5 or more seconds, if you hold the same switch for say 2 seconds then it becomes a turn signal that will run until you bump it again. The point being that the summit is a great system but the Motec PDM really widens the possibility's of what you can control with 8 buttons. The ultimate goal is to control everything but the A/C through the steering wheel. The A/C controls are on the side of the interior next to the down bar in front. This car is built with a completely removable dash one motor sports multi connector cannon plug on the dash and two bolts and all of the dash from a inch behind the window back comes out with two bolts. now any issues with the A/C or pedals, pull the dash and go to work without the help of a 9 year Japanese girl to crawl up underneath the dash. More tricks to come on this build, after 9 years of building and living with a GTR and helping two friends with ideas on their cars I'm feeling pretty confident that this thing is going to be a badd ass motor scooter when its finished. lee

Curious to see the AC controls location and the dash mods since I'll be at that point in my build soon

I just had Motec east do something very similar. Motec ECU, Motec PDM, Push button panel, Dash and rear camera. next step rebuild engine.

Chiming in and curious if a solution was found for wheel speed sensors. I have a client with a GTR and just finished a Motec M150 installation. Car is highly track focused and he is looking for the next step with a Bosch M5 ABS Clubsport kit. I would prefer to find something easy for wheel speed sensing as the car has lived enough of it's life in "fabrication" already.

I couldn't find anything off the shelf for the front, the closest was from Trigger wheels but the hole in the center was to small to fit over the hub. I had to weld a supporting ring to the wheel to hold it in the lathe and then bore it out to the required size. For the rear I'm using the factory speed rings on each side with the same sensor as the front I'm using Megasquirt MS3 Pro Ultimate and went with their recommended sensor.

Thanks for that. I had planned the same for the rear, but was hoping for something more off the shelf on the front. Likely I'll CNC my own for it rather than have to buy and modify something then.
