Hello everyone !

I wanted to know how to proceed to disassemble the central part of the body in order to change the steering wheel (RHD to LHD)

At first glance it only seems that you have to remove the rivets and some screws that hold the central part with the rest ... something else i should know?

Glue is usually used in addition to rivets?

Thank you !!!

The first thing you should know is that you should definitely reconsider that project.
It`s not just removing some rivets and breaking through the glue, it heavily depends on what model you`re planning to work on.
If it`s a GTR then the entire drivetrain (engine, gearbox etc.) needs to come out as there`s no way to access the rivets in the engine compartment.
The windscreen will have to come out which will probably break it - there`s also some bolts near the fuel fillers that you need to know of.
When you really manage to rip the car apart so you can access the steering you fill find that there`s no way to simply swap it as the tubing can`t simply be turned around but must rather be reconstructed in the correct position on the other side.

The real fun begins with the floor and the pedals though. Have a look at where and how the master cylinders are mounted and you`ll soon find that the steering position is the smallest of your problems....

If you ask me I`d say: don`t do it, never worth it....

Yes, because you only need to remove the front section - but the biggest issue will be the floor and pedals, you need to remove at least 2 floor panels in order to have access to the pedal brackets which need to be cut out etc.
Definitely not a good idea, order a new chassis and be happy about it...
