Would it be sacrilege to fit exhaust diverter valves to an Ultima??? (suspect I know the response).

I have a crossover box ATM which is not quiet but the thought of that Le Mans racing Corvette sound is eating away at me.

Work I can do myself, switchable and I will loose the couple of Kgs in weight it will add, promise....

Not sacrilege at all, if you do it, get the diverter part as a side on exit for full on c6r effect lol

Nope! Makes it a practical road car and can also make it sing like it should. I know a couple of Ultima owners that have essentially removed their silencers and the cars sound glorious! However have neighbours so that isnt an option for me unless I fitted diverter valves.....which I have on my list of things to investigate

Gosh, no negative comments. I'm not the only 'big kid' out there....

Getting a side outlet will be a challenge due to the fuel tanks and other stuff in the side pods.
Maybe behind the rear wheels, but then issues with the hinging rear clip.

Time will tell.

I have also thought about this, I know my exhaust is a bit restrictive and thought about by-passing the final silencer boxes,
I have reduced the power output of my engine however and so put this idea on the back burner for now.
What diverter valves were you thinking of using?

PS. I haven't even opened the rear clip yet to see if it is possible. Bit busy on other things!
