Orange Gtr for sale - anyone know the car?
Discussion
Guys does anyone know anything about / been to see the orange 6.3 v8 (£44,900) for sale in N. York’s through Sports and Prestige cars? I’m in Surrey so a real pita for me to get there if it’s not what it seems. I’m aware it’s a low spec car in the grand scheme of things but with a budget of 50k, I’m limited. Added to that there doesn’t seem to be anything on the market - unless I’m looking in the wrong place?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
James.

Nigel,
Thanks for your reply, I did notice your ad and was planning on phoning you. If you have any additional pics, or further info perhaps you could WhatsApp me on 07739688007?
I was originally going for a Gtr rather than a can an but ultimately the budget’s the budget, and I just want the nicest car I can get for the money. Yours certainly sounds nice.
Let me know best way to take the next step - happy to talk over the phone etc.
Best regards,
James.

For the same money you would need to WANT an SBC (or be downright nuts) to not get the LS3 engined car.
I have the hard top for the can am and I love it!.... While not an inconsiderate cost (You'd need the roof kit but plus you'd need the high door windows and full glass screen ), you would have top spec car for the money. And BTW the aeroscreen experience IMHO is amazing.... with a can am you have three cars in one. roofless, targa and hardtop.

Apologies in advance for the thread hijack, is the hard top removable with a single person? Out of interest what is the rough cost, I have the high screen and doors already.I have the hard top for the can am and I love it!.... Sorry just saw this. Yes the hard top panels are each side so if you are on the road they come off and can fit behind the seats provided you aren't super tall. assuming you are in the garage you can remove the entire assemble for safe storage with one person. I've removed and refitted the windscreen by myself too but you are best doing that with an extra pair of hands. Best speaking to the factory for latest prices.

Hi James,
I see that you are currently looking for a GTR. I own an LS7 engined car and am looking at options for the current year which if plans fall into place might mean selling the car - spec is stage 2 cam, app 600 BHP, AP brakes, Air Con & rear wing. If you want to chat further please give me an e-mail, through pistonheads.
Cheers
Simon
