Hi everybody

I'm Gert from Holland and new here.
after years of dreaming and driving a lot of "nice / fast/ lightweight-cars" my ultimate dream is a Ultima.
i bought an Can Am LS2 and this car is now with license imported and registrated in Holland.
Maybe this question is asked more, in case, sorry for that.

i'm looking for new tyres!!!!!! the old one are really old.... 9 years...so no grip at all.

335/30zr 18 and 245/35 zr 18, but want absolute the same rear and front (brand/type) or is that not neccesary.
i tried a lot of tyre companies but can't find front and rear combination from the same brand/type.

is there anyone who has an answer.

Thanks a lot ! ! !

Firstly a big congratulations on achieving your goal! The Pirelli P-Zero Rosso are available and would be my tire of choice in those sizes.

Yes. Only Pirelli make the above sizes in the UK now from what I can see

Yes just Pirelli that do frond and rears in those sizes. But they also do the P Zero Corsa which is stickier than the Rosso. A bit more expensive but I am really pleased with mine having changed from a very old set of Good Years recently.

Lack of tyre choice & generally availability of performance rubber is what led me to switch to 19" wheels (as have many others, inc the factory now). I ran some P-Zeros for a while, but didn't get on with them - they're fine for normal road driving, but couldn't hold upto more than 10mins on track.

If you're only planning on doing general road driving they'll be fine, but if you expect to do some more demanding / track work, I'd seriously consider holding off and instead looking at doing a 19" swap. There's a huge choice available at 19" (depending on exactly what size rims you go for) and the difference it makes to the car with modern performance rubber is quite surprising.

Welcome, hope this helps smile

Welcome!

I agree with Mark and is exactly what I did.

However try tyreleader:
https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres-335-30-18/
https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres-245-35-18/

You’ll find if they have 2 prices listed and 1 is v cheap it will be old - one of the cheap 335s is 2009 for instance, the others are new.
Tyreleader isn’t a UK company either, so you shouldn’t have any issues with them.
I’ve ordered off them numerous times, the only problems I’ve had is when I needed tyres quickly, even when they say in stock you can wait a week plus, but if that’s no problem I’d say give them a try smile

thanks Mark, Deadscoop, Mike,

thanks for the answers, but my question still remain.

i have looked on this website, but i still see this issue;

i can not find the same tyre name for the different sizes;
what i mean is this;

pzero corsa asimmetrico 335/30
but no corsa asimmetrico 245/35 (but direzionale in stead)

the same for

rosso;

rosso asimetrico 245/35 but no rosso asimetrico in 335/30

so the front and back have different type and therefore different tyre tread/profile

is that OK for this car's grip by using the car on road?

For me the biggest question is; are the (different front/back) tyres-combination bad for the driveability.

in that case i can also buy toyo r888 335/30 (i have those on my donkervoort, a good tyre) and combinate with the good kumho ecsta v700a at front.

i hope someone knows
sorry for my english
greets from Holland.

The fronts are not asymmetric, the 2 tyres are the same they just have to be fitted the right way round. The rear tyres are asymmetric (meaning the left and right are different treads - basically a mirror image). So what you have found is good to order. As long as you have either the Rosso or the Corsa all round.
