I remember when this site was awash with contributors, getting 10-15 posts a day, helpful current advice and a sense of comradeship. It was THE place to be for anything Ultima, sadly the last post I see was my own, 2 weeks ago.
Any advice for a different forum anyone??

There seems to be plenty of traffic on Facebook but personally I can't get on with FB as it is very disjointed and very much 'of the moment'.
You have little or no chance of going back to a subject and no chance of searching to see if a subject has already been discussed.

Saw and heard the white RS up the A47 last week. Truly lives up to expectations - just epic.

I started my Ultima quest on here many years ago and it was a truly lively place. I followed up my love for things Ultima with the purchase of a Can-Am (better for hot climates me thinks ) which is still in a very slow build.
I'm also on FB and administrator of the Ultima Owners Group. There are search functions which IMO work well and sometimes much better than the search function on PH

I still keep an eye on here but Facebook is the place to be nowadays. Bonus is that you get to see photos of what folk had for dinner and there's always videos of cats. The meowing kind, not the vroom vroom kind.

Anyhow... I saw pics of the red RS and thought it looked awesome!! That would be the colour for me.

well the Quaife box was returned to Quaife by the last owner for a refurb, after which it performed well for a while until the engine went bang, and given the chassis was designed for this box, I'm not keen to do that yet, options would be a hi-spec porsche or an albins (sequential) which is £18-20k. The box may fail with the new power unit which then puts it to a necessary step, but it'll wait for now.

Face book's not for me either. been away form my build for a few months, keep an eye on PH every now and then and will start posting some more about the build when I restart it.

I had (forced ) to get fb to follow own ultima.
before i don.'t have it.
now I'm used to it and it's easier to insert videos and photos. much faster and more immediate and there are many more own

I'm in the same situation, I really dislike FB. I check in here every now and again, in the hope it picks up, but without posting something, I'm not helping. Hence the reply.

I have been waiting to start back at my build for ages(years actually) and I'm very close to being able to do that finally. Excited!

Also, for those who do not own an ultima yet, do not fit the requirement to join the Ultima group. Last time i tried to join the FB group, since i didn't own an Ultima, i wasnt eligible to join, which is what i am here now and not on FB
