I'd really like to participate but I'm not joining Facebook for any reason. Is there a way to make the content viewable to other verified Ultima owners who aren't FB users? We (the non-FB crowd) could comment/share here. Really want to participate but this whole Facebook thing is making it extremely difficult.

I understand the FB thing and was resistant for a long time, but so many groups are using the platform it becomes hard to avoid. Over time I have become a member of a number of car related groups and it keeps me in touch with Pantera owners Worldwide with notification of events etc. You can manage the content you see and don't have to get sucked into the whole 'selfie as lifestyle' sect.

Just out of curiosity, why is the page locked?
Simple. The Ultima Owners page is a closed page reserved for owners and we prefer keeping it that way. The front page is visible to all but the contents are accessible only to those who have been accepted to the group. Hope that explains thingsJust out of curiosity, why is the page locked?

Ah so you admit you've been on Facebook to look... 
It's actually a terrible platform for searching or finding past content and if you comment on a post you'll see it for weeks in your feed while everyone else does the same!
To join you just have to send the request with a little explanation you are a PH group member and responsible adult, even though the latter statement may be a bit of an oxymoron for most Ultima owners...

Sadly I can't stand FB, so I won't go there, it as a platform has been such a negative impact on those around me especially the young. I applaud the closed page idea but have an issue with FB twitter and whatsapp. It has to be whatever forum suits those that peruse them, and how needy they are.. this old git will stay on PH only, I'm sure I wan't be missed lol

FB and twitter are fast becoming (have become..) the cesspit of humanity. The only reason I still have a FB account is so my death can be announced...I have been looking around at other car forums and I like the software (https://invisioncommunity.com/) that runs the briskoda forum. It seems hugely more functional than here and far better than FB. If there was an appetite amongst Ultima owners to start something outside of FB/Pistonheads I would be up for it...

Not being an IT specialist, but I imagine one would need to have a dedicated internet site. Now I imagine that such a task should be done by the Factory or under their sponsership IMOGassing Station | Ultima | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
