Ultima GTR

Hi All

I’m hoping to pick up my Ultima GTR as soon as the Covid-19 lock down eases.
One for the first jobs I would like to do is move the gear shifter from the left hand side ( GEAR CHANGING WITH RIGHT HAND )to the centre ( GEAR CHANGING WITH LEFT HAND ).
I’m hoping this can be done it has a Porsche G50 gearbox solid rods which link up to the gearbox a the very rear. Has anybody done this before.

When I ordered my evolution chassis it came incorrectly with the right hand gear change instead of the centre shift. The factory sent me the parts to convert it to centre gearshift so I would give them a call.

What I would say is try it first. I was of the same mind and no i love the right hand shift and prefer it over centre shift. You wont knoe till you try! It takes some getting used to but it adds to the event of driving the car!

A thought for your project. If you have not sourced a gearbox yet grab a 996 box they are cable shifted and that leaves the option to do as you wish in the future.
