Ford Indicator Stalk Wiring

Hi all,

Sorry for dragging up an old topic but I have searched the forum extensively looking for the wiring pinouts for the Ford indicator stalks. There was a great post about it way back in 2009 (created by Spatz) but unfortunately a number of the links no longer work so I can't find the answers I am looking for. I have the Ford stalk with the horn button on the end which I believe is the correct one to use but am having limited success with the multimeter figuring out the wiring (as others have also experienced).

Does someone perhaps have the wiring diagram for the pinouts or could you share how you wired it into the Ultima loom? I'll upload a photo of my stalk and also the pinout numbering and hopefully someone can assist me.

I have used ford stalks but not that style.
I have diagrams which may help you if nothing more they may guide you as to how to test your stalk to see what does what.

I was never able to use the diagram from Spatz (and we sadly lost him some years ago).

With the style of stalk I used I was unable to configure intermittent wipe.

Murray, I have to say in 2021, going on Ford stalks is probably less than ideal. Not only are they getting less and less available, the wiring is difficult and you need to cut the dash.

If I was in your position and could afford it, I’d go with one of the wireless solutions instead. Long term I’d say it’s the better thing to do.

Thanks for the replies and sorry to hear about Spatz. I know this option might be a little outdated but I like the style of those stalks and have them in hand so going to stick with them for now. I'd love the diagram Steve as any help would be greatly appreciated, I just need to figure out how to PM now.

when i converted to stalks i used the vauxhall astra ones as couldnt understand the wiring either...
