I am thinking of organising an Ultima gathering for owners in the South and South East and any others who fancy travelling. It will be at the Moat at Wrotham Heath, TN15 7RG. This is a pub/restaurant with a very large car park, on the A20, just off the junction with the M26. We will share the meeting with the Kent Classic and Sports Car Club (KCSCC) and members of Propulsion, so there will be a variety of interesting cars present, along with the Ultimas.
The organiser of the KCSCC is very keen to have some Ultimas attend. The KCSCC has an arrangement with the Moat to hold meetings on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, so the meeting will be on one of those Saturdays when hopefully the weather will be fine. The meetings start around 9am with coffee and bacon rolls etc available to purchase, and usually end around 11.30. There is a large restaurant where lunch could be taken if owners wish to prolong the meet.
Would owners be interested in such a gathering, the date still to be decided? We have three Ultimas attending at the moment but it would be nice to have a few more. I will also post this on the Facebook Ultima Owners Group page.

Hello GTRMikie it is so nice to see a familiar name pop up on the forum you must be the longest owner / member on here and I am probably the most Ultima's owned.
I wish you a good turn out of Ultima's for your meeting and behold you have great weather, however its a little too far for me to attend and besides I will be incapacitated due to my second opp then, I just wish we could have an Ultima get together UP NORTH but nobody is interested I remember when it was Cholmondeley Pagent of Power and I even offered accommodation overnight 4 miles away from the event, I think only 1 Ultima ever turned up on 1 year very disappointing, Stoneleigh has dropped in numbers over the years such a shame.

Hi Russ, thanks for your good wishes. There is encouraging support for the meeting, I just hope the weather is fine. It’s a pity the factory stopped their Factory Open Day, it was always well attended and the venue is fairly central. We need someone in the Midlands to organise a meet. Keep safe.

I was wondering if anyone is taking their Ultima to the National Kit Car show at The three counties showground (Malvern) on June 3rd-4th ? Interesting point about the longest Ultima owner member on Pistonheads. I just checked when I joined. June 2002. I wish I could say most Ultimas owned and would love to have one of each model but will stick with my Sport.

Hi Nick, sorry about the clash of dates, but there are many events taking place around that time of year, so some will be disappointed. In fact 10th June was the third date I had proposed. Hope to catch up at future meets.10th June is Le Mans weekend! I would have joined you but managed to get tickets in a draw with the ACO having found they were sold out in October 22.
