I guess you'd have to push it or roll it downhill then smile

Why doesn't the Ultima have a front/rear towing eye, or a place to screw one in? Any specific reason? You'd think you would need that now and again, such as sitting dead on a track.

I think HighFlyer was selling them back in February, the link was http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... but it seems incomplete now, I'm sure there were pictures and stuff. Maybe he deleted it

Rusty, are you having problems so bad you can't start it at all? Have you had it running, got spark? Exhausts stink of fuel? With ignition on is fuel dribbling out of the squirters (it shouldn't be). Looking in the chokes at the butterflies, are they virtually closed? You should have had it started by now, assuming you have cleaned/dried the plugs properly. Give me a shout if you're really stuck, AA man won't know anout holleys.

Yup, the Yellow Peril is now bellowing like a good un!!! The reasons I couldn't start the car are I guess are just daily stuff to you chaps but to a novice like me were a learning experience. However just for interest:-

1. With the old carb the butterflies were always damp with fuel overnight so any inexperienced starting technique from me tipped it into a total flood. One pump was almost more than it could suffer.

2. With the new carb it didn't start because it didn't have enough fuel. 5 medium pumps now from cold and wham it goes in an instant!

3. The oven baked plugs didn't work - still dead - new plugs, went like magic!

Putting some time in with carb tuning techniques now - YUK!!! Happy days ..........
