I'll be around Saturday night only if anyone is still around I'll PM my mobile number and we can meet up.
What's this guy on with a 1983 year 911 that clearly has a 964 body on it?

<sigh> the search continues...

Oh it's only the bumpers.. .guess I've not seen enough 964 Targas as the roll bar piece should have given it away.
This is a nice too: http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=244... and also have a 944 itch to scratch at some point making this tempting: http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=234... (shame about the COE not being a bit longer).
And a reasonable Boxter: http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=230...
Opinions on the financials given that Sing is always a bit 'special' when it comes to cars ;-) This would be my first purchase here so thinking of biting the bullet as can't seem to find any wothwhile race time.
Anyhoo, back to the Malay GP stuff - we'll be trying Topaz too for a change of scenery on Saturday and Sunday!

that first one you are looking at is a bit of an animal, but a fantastic car, there is a few bits not mentioned there, like the root supercharger

Yes sure John - that would be great thanks. I know a bit more about the 944's really and would normally prefer a C2 rather than a C4 but in this market I figured you could wait a long time for the right specs to become available... so long as the C4 is pretty rear biased then that would be fine... have to drive one and see I guess!
maybe we can do a pint over the weekend or if not then in KL on Sat.

Its not so difficult to turn a C4 into a C2 either, know that Andy has done that to one or two already!
I am off to KL this evening, have some work stuff to sort out up there also, so getting in early!
If any of the others fancy a beer Wed / Thurs or Friday night .... around KLCC / Bukit Bintang etc.
Indeed James, probably would have worked if i had not trashed my phone under a rather large lorry whilst stumbling back to the flat on Wednesday Evening (or perhaps it was Thursday Morning, either way ..... )
Whereabouts on Topaz were you in the end, we were at the 200meter marker on the back straight before last turn (15)
Couldn't miss us the rate we were shifting the beers!!!
Defo have to have a meet up some time in Singa ....

Not been checking back on here lads - definitely a sign of being too busy if I can't check the board now and then!
Yep we need to organise a few drinks and a meet up here in Singapore.
On the plus side I was up at Sepang again just over the weekend and doing a track day there along with meeting various people on the track day scene. It was good as it finally felt a little bit like old days racing in the UK so will be delving in to it a lot more and looking to work with some people to keep the grass roots stuff growing there. More to come!

you ever tried herding cats?? or nailing jelly to the wall ?? always up for a beer, although school nights are usually better for me than weekends as i usually already have a full kidney workout lined up!
James, I assume you went to the Traction Circle track day, they are OK, but the most sterile of all the days available at Sepang., I don't do them as the wont let my daughter drive as they think she is to young, dispite have a race licence.
If you are into racing you need to get involved in the MSS, next weekend is the end of May, you should come up with John for either the saturday or the sunday, pit access is 25Sing.

BTW it was an Ignition.my / Race Car Academy day.. not done one with Traction Circle so interested to hear your thoughts on that!
Basically I needed to rent something racy so best we could come up with was a Civic race car (EK2/B16 eng) which was pretty well prepared I must say, just didn't have any data fitted to it or even a pitboard available (coming into the pits to check on times is not my idea of good track time management)!
I took it pretty easy on the car and didn't push but on reflection should have fitted my own data system as it always makes me better at learning the track more effectively.
After lunch went out warming up lap with some basic data fitted at last (DriftBox) and only as far as turn 3 exit before bonnet flew up and smacked me good. Luckily at relatively low speed as I was clearly blinded by it with no view out the windshield whatsoever. Turned out bonnet catches were no secured at all so was sad to have such an issue but I guess 'these things happen'. Could have been really dangerous if it happened on the way in to one of the next turns!
Looking to get out on track soon and getting ARDS license sent over from the UK - doubt it matters much here though!
