importing a car from the UK - Japan

Morning all,

I know its a bit backwards, but is there anywhere I can find some info regarding import of a car from back home to Japan?

I am currently living here and will be for a good while, and while I have a daily I have an itch I need to scratch again. I want another vx220, but with there only ever being 100 units sold here its ever so slightly mad on prices (4x more than the uk), and I find generally the use market here is pretty expensive overall

There is an Australian guy I met in Osaka who imports a lot of Japanese cars to Oz, but I think he also imports stuff into Japan too. I think he is called Phil, and maybe his company is called Cathcart's motors or something.
I met him a couple of years ago now, but maybe he could help. He seemed fairly knowledgeable and friendly. If you're in the Osaka area, I'm sure he could point you in the right direction for the price of a couple of beers.

I'm in Nagoya so not a million miles away at all
