Good stuff! Glad you like it. You've got some good separation between your fronts, so you should get an excellent stereo effect from the fronts.

I've done a bit of tidying up too this week, with a new unit. It's a bit less messy!

It's a bdi unit. I got it from a friend who is upgrading his kit and so needs a unit with a few more spaces for DAC's, power amps and other such ridiculously expensive pieces of kit!

He got it from a dealers in Hitchin called Orton's, but he's trying to replace it and they've been worse than useless in aiding him, so he's gone to HiFi lounge and going for a Blok unit from there instead.

I've another friend with Blok stuff and it's superb.

It;s not the cheapest stuff in the world, that for certain, but it is very good quality and well designed.

I think the bdi unit I've got was around £1500 when new... Which is a frankly ridiculous price really, but fortunately, buying secondhand from a friend who treats all his stuff as if they were newborn babies is far better value!

Looks good and if you're happy that's all that matters biggrin

BUT, stereo/home cinema kit is no different to cars - you get your first hot hatch and you think it's the fastest thing ever, but then you get a ride in a supercar and your hot hatch doesn't seem quite as fast as it did wink - That's when the upgrade bug bites

Not read the full thread, but has anyone mentioned Sevenoaks?

Got my full kit from there, Denon receiver & Monitor audio speakers with active sub.

Superb all round sound & at a reasonable price!

Gulzar...I may be completely wide of the mark here, but I am guessing you are not married and no woman lives in the house with you.

Is you interior designer Carlesberg? Hehehe

Good work!

Hi Gulzar. As a furniture maker of bespoke fitted cabinets, I'm in the process of looking into the furniture side of top end AV/hi-fi.

Do you mind if I ask what the cost of the furniture was? I appreciate you may not wish to and I fully understand so if thats the case. But even a ballpark figure would be of interest, and what (if any) they gave you as specification of the furniture. ie what its made of, finish etc.

Thanks, Warren.

Furniture was only 600! Needed assembling which took max 1 hour, included 4 cabinets with LED lights, a 2 step shelf which I didnt fit above tv as no space and 3 metre long floor table thing!

At first glance, that looks like an average sized room, with an average/small TV and a sofa.

It's a bit of an optical illusion... Then look at the door at the back, and the scale becomes true again! Good work!

At 1st I thought that the TV doesnt look much bigger than my 55", but then you see the door size.
