I currently pay £59/month for this TV package..

My bill is going up to £80 when my contract expires next month. When logging into my account there is an offer reducing the new price to £68.

I have emailed my notice of cancellation to mysky@sky.uk, are they likely to contact me with a retention offer lower than £68?

I’ve just spoken to sky and got my bill down from £82 for similar package to you, to £41 with only removing the extra box as it rarely ever got used and we have sky go anyway so if want to watch it somewhere else we can anyway. With the extra box it was going to be £55
Is that just tv or tv/broadband/phone package?
It’s just tv.

To help others...
My package was Signature, Cinema, Kids, 1x multiscreen, HD/UHD
Was £60 recently increased to £68

Cancelled 3 days ago, got an offer through next day which wasn't very compelling.
Call "the number" adjusted the package, removed kids and added Sports (all) and got to £50 a month.

Thanks, renewed mine at the weekend. Phoned with the view of cancelling and moving to VM as my package was due to rise from 87 to 135 (tv (signature package with movies and kids and multiroom), phone and broadband). Didnt even need to haggle, they offered the lot for 78. Removed kids channels and upgraded to the next connection speed (100-150mbs) and price went down to £74 so happy with that.
Possibly couldve got it cheaper but cant really be arsed with the whole ‘playing the game’. If they hadnt budged first time then i wouldve continued the cancellation

Being offered this when I go on the app. Current price has risen to £91 a month I think.
Good deal or call them?

I got my boxes to return my Q equipment, and there was no additional offer in it, to my suprise. I’m glad I did a deal earlier and didn’t wait til it had been cancelled.

I'd say call them as I'm paying £83 for all channels and an extra box.

Signature £19
Kids £2
Sports £6 + £2 for HD
BT Sport £25
Cinema £12
HD £4
Multiscreen £10

If you knocked off kids, BT and Cinema that's £39 just there

I guess there must be some people who are already Sky Users. I am trying to work out my contract terms (start date, length of contract).
It's really difficult to find this information. When you go to My Contracts, it is just a standard template terms and conditions.
Does anyone know how to find your contract terms in their online website (MySky)?

Looks like I’m being royalty shafted,,
I don’t want Sky Q or glass, just what I have but at a sensible cost

What I hate is the long phone call where you go round in circles to try and ge5 something sensible.
Surely their time would be better spent by dealing with me quickly and then getting onto the next customer

The question is, what would you miss by cancelling Sky?
I cancelled a month ago & don’t miss it at all.
Freeview + Britbox / Prime @ £140 a year total, cover 99% of our viewing.
Plus the energy savings & an end of resetting the SkyQ on a far too frequent basis.
Sky Glass? Tie yourself in for the long term..
Glad to reduce the outgoings with no negatives..

..
Glorious 4K HDR F1
A slick software media hub
Mesh WiFi via the Q mini boxes
Recording facility for broadcast TV
Sky Go
Not to mention the content itself, the sky exclusive box sets for example are great - game of thrones, gangs of London etc

It’s not cheap, but it’s good. No fuss, no hassle just works. I think of it like iPhone vs android. Sure I could get an android phone that does much of the same for half the price, but for me it’s just not as good

Nowhere near as good as others on here.

Offered Netflix for 3 months free then a fiver, already share it with #1 son so not needed.
Offered Cinema fiver a month, don't need it either.

Final offer was £70, though they did throw in free Ultra HD which pleases me for the F1. Thats for Signature, multi room, HD, Sky Sports and sky sports HD. Better than the £87 it was going up to but nothing stellar. Assume it's because we can't take their broadband, though we do have three phone contracts with them.

Ahh bugger, still, it's £200 extra a year for you to spend for the frivolous things thread...

I await the next purchase with interest!

How long have you been with Sky out of interest? 14 years in my case.... I don't know (and I doubt!) they actually give a t*ss and factor that in. If they did I/we wouldn't have to phone them up at renewal!
