Why cant Sky offer the best deal to existing customers.
Without the need for some bloke on the internet pulling a few strings?

If you ran a business, would you offer discounts to your customers that have been with you for a long time, or to new customers? Many offers are available to existing customers as well now.

it's strange everyone wants sky and pretend they can live without it. but they always come back. all I hear all day is Netflix is better amazon prime etc. they simply aren't even comparable. once the new customer is past their first contract they end up paying what the service is worth. it has been devalued massively over the past ten years. this is sky's fault but this train if thought has unfortunately passed through to the customer. I don't even watch that much tv but for the convenience and ease of use it is by far the best.

With the launch of the VIP service they've really cut back on the offers available. 50 and even 60% were common place but now it's 20, 30 and 40% across the board, often with a recontract too.

Of course you can live without SKY. It is hardly like food, water or air. It is a television platform and nothing more and to suggest it is somehow essential to modern life is laughable.

I am one of those who has dumped SKY after years of custom. I also don;t watch that much TV and so have found that the targeted viewing available through on-demand services is much more than adequate and in fact, I've found myself watching more interesting programmes and have almost completely cut out having to see any form of advertising at all, which is massive bonus.

The SKY platform is good, but it is very easy to live without it and in my opinion, better and cheaper too. A combination of NOW TV, Amazon and Netflix gives me and my family access to any content they want and for a fraction of the price we used to pay.

My Bill has just jumped to £87 for the Boxed sets package and Sky Fibre unlimited. Are there any deals for sky Q for around the same price or less? Mine seems expensive for what it is . Considering going to Freesat.

I have a 1tb box which has started playing up so phoned sky last night to see what deals they had for changing over to sky q . The guy we spoke to would not even quote us a price , just kept telling us to look at the VIP section on the app.

If you have the Sky Q VIP upgrade deal then call centre staff aren't allowed to process the sale, they're supposed to refer you to the App. If you tell them that you don't have a compatible tablet or phone they can do it though.

My 18 months at £10.50 a month offer has just come to an end. I phoned to cancel (no, really) because I'm not that bothered about it tbh, but I ended up taking the entertainment and box sets package for £25 a month, which is the deal offered on their website anyway. I'll see what the box sets look like on my new 4K TV, I may still end up cancelling.

Managed to get £40 of the Sky monthly subs. We have phone line rental, Fibre and several TV packages with them. They initially offered £9 off but after pricing up an equivalent package with Virgin (incl 100Mb fibre) we threatened to cancel and got an equal offer.
