I'm one of those lazy people who hasn't paid much attention to this but I think I'm massively over-paying....boxedin

I have:

Sky+ HD (not Sky Q)
Variety Pack
Sky Sports complete pack

That little lot is £76.50 a month (!!!!)

Then I have

Sky Talk line rental
Sky Talk anytime extra
Sky Fibre Max

Which is £50.99 a month (yikes)

So I'm paying £127.49, which is far too much

How do I get this down? I'm a Sky Black customer 'cos I've been with them donkeys-years.

Do I just phone up and threaten to cancel or.....?

We cancelled recently due to a house move, if your willing to cancel they will fight hard to keep you.
If not then its just a game of who bends first!
They did offer reductions but they were not great.

who's name is it in?
if your wife/partner/other half isn't on the account then get them to sign up using a friends and family deal from one of our kind PH sky people. I have SkyQ and all the channels plus phone and superfast BB for £70/m (apparently it should be around the £130 mark

At the moment my virgin medai contract is coming to an end August 25th

Is there any deals for watching on 2 tv's

probably superfast broadband

sky essential package and hd

not interested in sky movies or sports

But if bundle is cheaper with then would take currently paying £69

If anyone has any offers/codes could you let me know please

Looked online can get above for £52 but there is an £88.95 set up fee for an 18 month contract

I’m with Virgin media and our bill was £110 per month with sky sports. We phoned Virgin and really nice Glasgow fella got us down to £63 per month and increased our internet to the 300mbps. He had no deals on sky sports which is rather annoying me now it’s football season again. So hopefully they might have the half price offer on. Does anyone even watch regular tv anymore?

Laid question. Couldn’t tell you the last time I watched something under normal schedule. It’s all on demand or recorded.

If I ever leave sky I’ll owe them a fortune every month!

Existing (Low!) user here.

SKY offered me

2TB Q. + mini box. (£50 one off charge)
Original Package (That's all I need really)
Broadband Superfast (Inc line rental)
Multi room

£53.50 a month.

Can that be bettered?

I have Sky Q multiroom with all the channels and paying £100.50

This seems excessive.

Any recommendations?

Any idea why Sky will not allow a SkY Q 2tb main box and a sky HD box as multi room. I do not want a Sky Q mini box and they refuse to let me have this config.

They use different dish technologies. The LNB on the end of the dish is different.
Whilst it is possible to get a hybrid LNB to run both, I suspect sky’s reluctance is owing to the contracts they now issue.
The Q system remains their property and they maintain it free of charge.
The old HD system is yours, your box your dish.
They don’t want to be arguing with customers about which bit has gone wrong and who is paying for it.

ETA, one of the features of Q is the ability to carry on watching on every box. Start watching a film downstairs, pick up where you left off upstairs.
You would not be able to do this with a mixed system

Like has been mentioned, it’s both limitations of installed hardware and contractual.

Out of curiosity, why would you want a mixed setup and not a mini box?

Also the fact that the Q box requires a viewing card as does the +HD box. Sky's account system won't allow such a setup, nor will it allow two accounts at the one address.

Why would you want that?

The mini box is great, all recordings from main box, start off where you left off in the other room, can be hidden away and bluetooth remote used, only need mains lead, can move it to other rooms easily if you want to watch footy out in the garden etc.

You pay one fee and you can have up to 5 around the house.

I'm paying £56.50 for full package and multiroom, with 3 mini boxes.

Currently with Virgin but contract is up mid October.

Paying £95 a month for Full House TV, 350 BB (although only get 100ish speed), Talk Anytime, Sky Sports and Sky Movies. Also have 2 Tivo boxes.

It's going up to £125 from October, so will have to ring and play the game again.

We had Sky Q a couple of years ago, so anyone know of any decent deals with them at the moment?

I can send you a deal for telly and BB but as far as i know (depending on area), we can't match virgin's BB speeds. I'm on Sky fibre max and get around 68mb average.

PM me and i'll send you the deal

Hi,

Looking at signing up to Sky as a new customer. Any chance anyone would be able to help with a deal on the following package?

Sky Q (1TB box)
Sky Entertainment
Sky Cinema
HD Pack

Also... we have a couple of TVs running off freesat boxes already. Am I right in saying we'd need Sky to fit a Hybrid LNB so we can retain access to Freesat?

Correct. The Engineer should have one but I see no harm in mentioning it to the sales person.
