i need to help my parents out. they’ve been paying over the odds for everything for a while £30/40 a month for virgin broadband, standard bt land line (use mobiles most these days) and sky tv package costing £50 or so a month for not much.

can my dad phone up and cancel his account and mum start a new customer account in her name? any help with deals etc.....?

I’m a skyq customer with sports box sets movies F1 & documentary land line and fibre but not at the end of my deal (I think I’ve possibly 6 months to go)

Will Sky even consider customers in that situation whereby I would reset my deal and go 18-24 months from now

It’s a shame that Sky/Virgin & all treat their customers like mugs. Making the wary play Satellite Merry go round every year or two (the same scam as insurers)
I guess they catch a fair amount out, disgusting really.
Hopefully will be outlawed at some point, or a ‘ppi’ type scandal to return the zillions..

Well if labour win the fibre will be free to all and so will landlines then people could simply go HBO Netflix and Amazon Prime for a few quid a month vs £1.5k for full sky.

Is Modbro still going - the illegal site where they show pay per view for free?

Was my deal listed above good or could I have achieved better?

Thanks for mine earlier. Signed up last weekend for it.

£50 a month for entertainment, sky sports, broadband and phone. Didn't go for superfast broadband as didn't feel we would need it.

Sorry mate I can't comment on if the prices are decent or not. Although I work in the business I don't work in the areas that deal with pricing one way or another.

We are given codes as part of our employment that we can use to promote set deals at certain times.
