With us moving in a few months I am watching this thread and deals with great interest as its the best internet I can get sadly in the area.

Currently with Virgin 200meg fibre, semi basic tv package and landline is £35 a month and they are not in the new area at all so that is going to go.

Currently looking at -

Standard sky package (Who the f**k charges for HD channels? so wont pay it) £22 + one off fee £20
Sky Superfast Broadband (44-66mb/s) £27
No call package (wont use it)
Monthly - £39 with a one off of £29.95

Seems expensive but best internet I can get!

Only plus side is £60 cashback from Quid co.

Did you initiate that discussion? What reason did you use to contact them? I only ask as I'm probably about to do the same thing myself and cancel my contract, and then sit and pray for 4 weeks yikes

Phoned Sky, they've offered the same package reduced by £17/Month.
So from £90 to £73.... It was previously £66/month before the offer ended.
Said I was looking for the previous amount on the same package, no can do.
Well no can renew then! Waiting game begins.

Nobody nowhere

Just got off the phone:

Sky superfast broadband (already got but renewed contract early to line up with new TV package)
Entertainment
Cinema
Ultimate on demand
Netflix premium
Multiscreen

£62 a month which is what I was hoping/expecting without the multiroom

It'll be £103 out of contract

Up to now I've been paying £32 just for internet plus a separate Netflix account, so actually only paying an extra £20 a month!

Doing my yearly dance. Cancelled last week, when I was offered £78 (from the £71 I was paying with the discounts that are about to expire) for Movies, Sports, Entertainment, Kids, Box sets, HD and Fibre.

I’ve just been offered the above for £72 including an upgrade to Sky Q on an 18mth contract. I’m hoping the Sky Q router will provide better wifi.

I think it’s a reasonable deal and will probably settle for that.

Does anybody know if new cables are needed from the dish to the box when moving from sky+ to Sky Q?

Doesn't automatically require new cabling assuming existing cable is correct spec and in serviceable condition

Many Sky Engineers would rather just replace it, just to be sure unless it's very recent.

Thanks both, my wires were installed 5 years ago and follow quite a convoluted path through floor and wall cavities to arrive at my sky box. Will give the Q upgrade a go and hopefully the Sky engineer can make it work with the existing!

Thinking of getting Sky again, pretty sure the last time I had it I was paying £18 a month for everything via a deal on here. Now seems to be quite a lot more. It was in the former mrs bigben's name so I would be a new customer by now I think.

Can anyone help with a new customer deal?

was paying £36 for entertainment, sports and movies. got the email saying deal about to come to an end. old HD box, can’t get Q because we’re on a communal dish.

had an offer in my account, clicked through and it said- new discounts click here and it’ll be £39 a month for 18months, great!!! clicked on, sends me out the stuff. it’s only gonna be £39 for the next month while i get double discounts and goes up to £72! rubbish!!!

phoned up and they can bring it down to £52. I’ve told them that’s too expensive and to cancel my services. now doing the dance to see who blinks first! and being honest I think it’ll be me

Thank you for this, all sorted now. I can't reliably reply to PH messages for some reason.

Moved back to the UK last year and about to move in to a new pad next month.
Looking for a good internet and tv deal, preferably with Sky but will take Virgin if I must. What are these fancy codes people speak of?

Generally a deal for some half.price, or better deals for telly and broadband.

Ping me a message and I'll send you a code.
