1. I have a pair of Tannoy T225's. Any guesstimate figures on a sale price? Only needs to be rouugh, speakers are in great condition, dual concentric floorstanding loudspeakers.

I have a room roughly 12metres x 6metres; I am craving some bass! subwoofer is on the cards but wanted to add some sound panels to assist as I have a a hardwood floor thats killing the bass badly.

Any advice most appreciated gents, thank you in advance.
Feel free to PM me for details or for a netter, I really need the help!

Regards,

You need to give us the rest of the system and what the room is like. Im sorry but a Hardwood floor by itself causes reverb in the room. You need rugs curtains etc to correct this. Also what exactly are you after? Bass as in Bass guitar or Bass as in Large Organ notes. What most people think of as bass is usually in the mid range.

Is there a reason you think its the wooden floor causing the problem ? The lack of bass is likely to be a result of the speakers' and/or your position in the room in relation to the rooms' boundaries. 12m x 6m is bigger than most which is good but being exactly twice as long as it is wide is not good at all. What's the height by the way ?

The quickest way to establish how much bass the speakers ( and the rest of the system ) is capable of is to play the speakers outside; this will remove the influence of the room altogether. Once you are sure that the speakers are producing good bass then you can experiment with repositioning the speakers in your room.
