I need to free up some kitchen worktop space so thinking of hanging my mini-system (i.e. main unit only, not speakers) from beneath one of the kitchen wall units (system is Onkyo something like this: http://www.eu.onkyo.com/en/personal-audio-systems-...

Im struggling to find any 'hanging brackets' to achieve this - I guess I could fashion something from regular angle brackets but want it to look decent. Or alternatively wall mounted slotted shelving system but I'd need chunky brackets as the hifi is about 350mm deep at a guess and it wouldn't be secured as such with this approach

Anybody had similar requirement and solved?

Sounds like brackets for a microwave might be a solution. Something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071WK19D8

I'm not sure what the front to back dimension is on your Onkyo but microwave brackets should be big enough and will easily be able to cope with the weight. Remember to leave enough space above the Onkyo's heat vents.

If you don't like to look of the one I linked to, have a scroll down the page to some similar alternatives.

I have used Microwave shelves for projects in the past.

Great alternative solution for what you need.
