I currently have the same problem and have a silly offer from Sky, so looking to try and do it if we can.
I`m happy to buy an extra sky mini box (apparently up to 4 is now available), however one feed is for a bathroom tv (I know, I know!). So unsure of best way forward with this as only viable place to put it is in the airing cupboard behind and presume this would be too hot to keep the box in??
I could put it in the loft and drop the feed, but how would I control it as I believe the mini box remotes are all IR not BT?

I was able to use the BT remote with the sky mini box. Just cancelled my subscription as not worth the channels for the money. Nothing good to watch most nights.AndStilliRise said:

And are only 1080p, meaning they can't show anything you've recorded or downloaded in 4k
Currently. An update is coming to increase it from the 2mini boxes.
Re 4K our main TV isn't yet 4K and we will rotate the older TVs so no issue st all re mini box tv rooms not being 4k
You guys need to join a gym or start running/cycling.
Just cancelled the POS at the earliest opportunity.
My days as a SkyQ beta tester are almost over
A £15 NowTv box is more stable...

SkyQ with 4 mini boxes will keep you fitter than going to the gym. Up & downstairs to re-pair etc on a tediously regular basis. It’s tried to be too clever & falls down on the basics.

I had a Q box and two minii boxes installed just over a week ago - not had any cause to reboot anything so far.....Just cancelled the POS at the earliest opportunity.

Are you on Sky Broadband as well? That might make a differrence?
I hope the OP doesn't mind but a quick question if I may.
I currently have Sky+HD on a legacy package which means I get the F1 channel in HD. When our loft conversion is finished in a few weeks I will want to have:
- TV in lounge for general use
- TV in my "office" for less regular use (eg watching the F1 in peace!)
- TV in master bedroom for that rare saturday morning lie in.
I believe with a 2TB box and multiscreen I can watch on 2 tablets... what constitutes a "tablet" and what service do you get on it (live tv? downloaded content?). Could this "tablet" be a laptop linked to the TV for example (which I can do today with the sky app)?
Just working out if I really need 2 mini boxes.
Also, has anyone managed to get F1HD without paying out for Sky Sports when switching? I'm out of contract, having been with them on a £31 contract for 9 years now and having never got a discount before if that matters.
Any thoughts?

Google legacy F1 pack and Sky Q and you should find plenty of information, from what I have read if you switch to Q and pay full wack for the box you can keep your old package including Legacy F1.I currently have Sky+HD on a legacy package which means I get the F1 channel in HD. If you change anything though you lose it.
Can't help on the multiroom though...

When I switched to Q last year, it was on the proviso that I keep my legacy F1 package - I basically said, if we can't do that, I'm out. They did it.Any thoughts?
That said, I've just binned Sky full stop. Q was ridiculously bug-ridden, rolled out too fast, illogical and provided very limited improvements over the existing HD set-up. In fact, the only reason I went for it was that the mini-box acts as a wifi extended and for some reason the Sky router is useless in my 70's house. Hardly four foot 300 year old stone walls, but it really struggles. The mini box continually disconnected, causing much frustration and to be honest, then only thing I miss from the whole palaver is the wifi extension!
